Quaint and quiet hotel in the resort of St. Martin
The serenity and privacy of the L'Esperance Hotel is a haven surrounded by the beautiful sandy beaches of the Caribbean. Guests can take a dip in the hotel pool surrounded by greenery giving it a secluded and peaceful atmosphere. A complimentary rum punch party is on Mondays and a barbeque is every Wednesday. The town of Philipsburg is located nearby for a spot of shopping and for an evening out, there is the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort and Casino.

Great Place
I stayed at this hotel for one week during carnival with my family. The staff was very friendly,especially Samanta. This hotel is very quiet, and clean; also the air condition works perfect. My room had a TV with cable and WiFi, so I was able to use my laptop. This hotel is also very close to public transportation, and a super market is about five minutes away. Great place to stay.

Great Value
Great location and lots of space. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner and hair dryer, but aside from that, this hotel is a good bet.

We needed a one night accommodation before registering at our timeshare on St. Maarten. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, the pool was refreshing and the room was fine. A parking space for our rental car was a problem. The location of the hotel was away from beaches and restaurants.

Late Cruiser
Tolerable for 1 Night
I arrived late @ St. Maarten & just needed a place to sleep for the night so I could catch a cruise ship I missed when it left Miami w/o me. One night at this place was tolerable but no more. The AC barely worked, the TV didn't work, the bathroom had 2 bath towels, no hand towels, no wash cloths, no soap/shampoo. Door would only stay locked if I left key in the lock (from the inside). Bed was a thin cotton-stuffed mattress, nothing more. But room was reasonably clean & quiet.

Good All-round value
Hotel was in good location but not on the beach but there was a beach a 15-20 minute walk away. Within easy reach of public transport. Apartment was large and well equipped but lacked an electric kettle for those who like to make a cup of tea instead of coffee. Nice pool and pleasant surroundings. Cleaning staff were efficient and friendly but Reception Staff were not so friendly and lacked social skills - there was room for improvement in that area. Overall good value compared with other accommodation in St. Maarten and would stay there again. Very obliging when we wanted to stay on until our flight time.
