Affordable retreat on the white sands of St. Martin
L'Hoste Hotel is set right on Orient Beach, the largest and most magnificent beach in St. Martin. The hotel offers 56 elegant junior suites, two pools, two restaurants, and a beachfront bar. L'Hoste is also steps from local shops and restaurants in Orient Village, and only a 15-minute drive from the capitals of Philipsburg (Dutch side) and Marigot (French side).

Pefect place to lay back and relax. A little bit remote from the the center, but the place has everything; grocery store, hair salon, pharmacy and so many restaurants! The hotel is right on the beach. Mostly returning guests, as ourselves. Very friendly staff.

Wonderful Retreat!
Great location for folks who wish to truly get away, relax on an awesome stretch of beach and enjoy the french-caribbean culture. The rooms are simple, clean and the staff is very friendly. The AC was disrupted on the last night due to a power issue. If you are unable to tolerate mild disruptions, do not stay on the french side. There is less of a night life than on the dutch side but there is lots to do (or not do) during the day and fantastic dining options available in the evening.

There are many great restaurants that will accept cash (i.e. US dollars) at a 1:1 rate ($1 = €1) at Grand Case. Safari Grill at La Place - OrIent Bay Village also offers this rate for lunch.

Great location.
We have stayed here many times. The location couldn't be better. For the little time we spend in the room it's fine. I had a few issues that were not addressed and that isn't good for business. It didn't ruin our time but being in the business I should have had answers.

LePiment has to be one of the best restaurants in st Martin though it doesn't get recognized. It's in the square in orient beach. We have been all over the island for dinner but this is one of our favorite.

GREAT ROOM, LARGE WITH A COMFORTABLE SEATING AREA. VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING STAFF. GREAT LOCATION VERY NEAR THE BEACH AND VILLAGE AREA OF RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS. NIGHT LIFE AT THE VILLAGE HAD A REAL FRENCH FEEL. PLAN ON RETURNING!

Excellent location
We had a nice stay at L'hoste. The location doesn't get any better, we would walk barefoot from our room right to the beach! It is close to restaruants and a small market. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, very tropical. Kitchen was a bit worn down and water was out twice while we were there. Staff described the water as an island issue. Other then that enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel.

Not what we are used to for a ma and pa
My husband and I always stay at ma and pa kind of places. We are not picky people and know the amount of time we stay in a hotel is little. We would rather give the local people the business. This is the first hotel that was really run down and needed a lot of TLC. The location was great and could not get any better. Water pressure for showering was bad at peak times whenever everyone else in the hotel complex was taking showers. Staff was very nice. I thought for the $$ it could have been a lot better.

great stay
This is a great value hotel. It has one of the best locations on the island. The associated beach bar umbrellas chairs (playa) is steps from the hotel and just completed an upgrade. The playa beach bar is centrally located on the best beach on the island. Staff at the hotel and the beach bar are great. Breakfast at hotel isn't much (coffee tea croissant). Television has 120 stations with 10 in french another 10 in Spanish and the rest in English. Rooms are old and very very basic with no frills; small fridge and small microwave (in the U.S. the room would be a very nice motel). There is a safe.
