Nothing Executive about this room

[...] lists the standard room ($153), the ambassador suite ($190) and also an executive suite for $207 USD. I chose the exec room b/c it was in my budget and I wanted the best room they had. There is no such thing as an exec room at Bilderberg. [...]I ended up with a room with two dbl beds shoved together, instead of the King bed that is advertised on [...]. They weren't even strapped together - so as some of you may have experienced you fall through the middle onto the floor. NOT NICE. The front desk claimed that all of their rooms are like this - none with a solitary large bed. The whirlpool tub in my room was cracking and rusting. I had no desire to try it. The closet was really small and there was no alternative for your clothes like a dresser or anything. There were no towel racks, towel hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. The toilet is in a separate room tinier than a broom closet. I was very claustrophobic in there. There is no A/C and the heat is given by two radiators that are not easily set (dials are wrong - 3 = 0, 5 = 1, 0 = 6, etc..). I ended up having to have some heat cause it is cold in March, but also leaving the balcony door open. Now I have a cold. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The room service menu has some errors on it. They list hummus on there and when you order the platter that is supposed to contain the hummus they don't warn you. When I saw butter on my platter instead of hummus, I was upset. The room service guy was very helpful and brought some red and green pesto to replace what should have been hummus (I'm allergic to butter). The hotel advertises a free pass to Holland Casino for staying with them - I'm not a gambler and never had time to check it out. We could see the North sea from our balcony and there was a peaceful tone to the waves crashing and the birds perching on the railing or flying by us. We could hear all hallway noise and the hotel room doors slam on their own. The elevator stank of dead fish and the smell permeated to the hallways around it. Thankfully our room never smelled. I think I would have prefered to stay at Hotel Des Indes or Park Hotel both in the center of the city. Schevenigen was a 14 min tram ride to the city of Den Haag and tickets were not easily purchased at the beach. Only one store which only took cash and was only open from 10 am until 18:00. It costs a lot more to buy from the driver (2.40 Euro each way - compared to 1.50 Euro with a 15 stub tram ticket)

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Promenade on the beach has tons of clubs for drinking, music and dancing. I preferred the restaurants and hotels in Centrum over Schevenigen, but the Promenade has night-time entertainment.
