Right next to the station
It is a 4 star hotel with pretensions. Unfortunately the restaurant is too small and they don't know how to deal with a backlog eg no eye contact and then they give false promises. In the ned I had to go for a donner kebab at the station. When contacting the hotel direct I have received much higher room quotes.

Manhattan is just across Rotterdam Central station so very convenient, staff friendly, room quiet and moderate in size for a couple. Washroom big with both shower and bath tub. The only defect was water pressure at shower too weak. I found it so difficult to wash my hair since you couldn't reach the shower head (since it was very high and immovable). With water pressure weak to that extent, I wouldn't stay there again. We reflected this comment to front desk when we checked out and the lady told us we were NOT the first to complain about the weakness of water pressure at shower.

The Hotel was good, staff were courteous and helpful, not much to do around the Hotel, Cabs need to be called by reception desk. Close to public transport. Parking is a bit of a pain. [...]

Got a large corner room which
Got a large corner room which is a better room than I actually ordered, but since it was available I was asked if I wanted to be upgraded free of charge. Perfect location in Rotterdam city center and a very good breakfast.

Great location center of Rotterdam
Great location for taking the metro to the North Sea Jazz festival at the Ahoy. Also good for walking around the neighborhood and shopping. Excellent access as it's located across from Central Station.

Manhattan Rotterdam
This Hotel recently became its own after being a STARWOOD property for 10 years...there is no change in service or accomadations...everything is still tip-top. Very nice place to stay, centrally located and staff awesome.

Short drive from hotel
Rotterdam's "Splashtour" is a new attraction that is very fun for all ages...a bus tour of the city, then the bus turns into a boat and tours the harbor, and then turns back into a bus again to finish the tour. Easily accessible by streetcar.

My only complaint is that there
My only complaint is that there was not free internet access in the rooms. 5 start hotels should have that standard! They do have free computers to use, but they don't allow you to skype or download certain files. The front desk receptionist are about as great as they come. Any activity you are planning, they are willing to make sure they are open and check the times you are going to get the correct trams for you. This hotel makes it comfortable to be in a new town. Also it is Located within 1/4 mi of tons of stores and good restaurants! Remember if you park a car the parkplatz is located behind the hotel and is 18 euro for anything longer than 10 hrs. So if you stay 1 or 5 days and you don't move your car it is still only 18 euros.

New Name, AWSOME place to stay
Place was amazing, beautiful and clean. Staff was extremely polite and helpful with arrangements made before the name changed to the Manhattan. If I have to go back THIS is where I'd stay. Convenient to everything in Rotterdam. High pressure HOT showers. Very fashionably decorated (ladies care about this more than guys). Breakfast in the Netherlands is not customary, so it is very, very expensive. However, the little pastry shop next door was dynamite. reasonable and delicious.
