Nice and Americanized
Would stay here again, even though Restaurants were over priced, but accommodations were very nice and the staff was very helpful.

Have to take a taxi to get to downtown and train station. Able to walk to train station, but difficult to get too.

Clean, comfortable rooms
Hotel room was great and staff was friendly and helpful. Stayed in Leiden on holiday while visiting a family member who attends Leiden University. The town itself is very scenic and enjoyable just to walk around and you can get to Amsterdam by train in about 30 minutes. My only complaint was that the hotel was too far to walk to the train station or downtown so not very convenient without a car. Hotel did run a shuttle to the Leiden train station but not all day and not on the weekend. Overall I was very satisfied with everything but the location.

If you enjoy walking, ask for a map of Leiden at the train station information desk and take the walking tour of the town. And make sure to try the stroopwaffles when you need a snack.

Great hotel but a bit far from train station
Although the hotel itself is great, shuttle service to station is limited. You would need a taxi to get to Leiden Centraal station (around 10 Euros one way). I would not use this hotel again only for that reason. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable.

Idéalement situé
L'hôtel est idéalement situé à la périphérie de Leiden et il est possible de rayonner aussi bien en direction de la ville qu'en direction du bord de mer (sur la route de Katwik). Une voiture de location ou sa propre voiture est un plus incontestable d'autant que le parking est gratuit tout autour de l'établissement. Cependant des travaux étaient en cours et les ouvriers ont commencé le mardi après Pâques dès 7 h 00 ce qui est tôt pour nous. D'autre part nous avions une des seules chambres qui donnaient directement sur l'extérieur, les autres donnent soit sur la grande "halle" du restaurant ou sur des sas vitrés. Nous avons donc ressenti fortement les bruits de la route principale à 300 m le mardi jour de travail. Nous pourrions retourner là-bas mais nous demanderions une autre chambre. Un bémol pour la propreté de la chambre, léger mais dérangeant: le drap d'un des lits comportait une tâche facilement éliminable avec un peu d'eau et de savon ... Un petit bémol aussi pour le service boissons lors des repas au restaurant: nous avons reçu du vin rouge à la place du rosé commandé et un autre jour il a fallu redemander pour obtenir notre commande qui s'était perdue... le rush de Pâques ? Et enfin nous nous sommes promis, pour la prochaine fois, d'intégrer les petits déjeuners et les repas du soir directement dans la réservation initiale. Nous avions le désir d'aller plus souvent en ville mais l'expérience a montré qu'il fallait faire l'effort et, avec le froid polaire, ce n'était pas évident. Donc la note repas a été finalement (très) importante. Et pour terminer, tout est fait, dans cet hôtel, pour le bonheur des familles avec petits enfants.

In Hotel
Deux restaurants à l'hôtel: l'un ne propose que des buffets extrêmement copieux et variés, l'autre, beaucoup plus petit sert des grillades de viande mais nous ne l'avons pas essayé. Les buffets font la fierté de l'établissement et c'est vrai qu'ils sont fantastiques mais il faut ... manger !
