A very good hotel for the Haarlem area
I had a positive experience with the Carlton Square Hotel and think that for an area like Haarlem, it is a very good place to stay. A bank, post office and supermarket (all about 5 minutes) and the town center (about 10 minutes) and also the railway station (about 15 minutes) are within walking distance. The 300 bus from Amsterdam airport stops about 7 minutes from the hotel. The hotel has also free bicycles (you need a credit card). The room (I had a queen size bedroom) was very clean and spacious. What would have been nice to have would have been a good breakfast buffet (breakfast was not included in the price I paid) and a clean coffee maker (I drink lots of tea and there was some green stain in the coffee maker). There was also a bit of building noise but that did not disturb me. All in all, I would recommend the Carlton Square and would stay there again. It is a very safe place and an excellent stay for excursions to Lisse, Zandvoort, Amsterdam and other places.

Best Hotel evestayed in
Free open bar in room with expensive wiskey and brandy. Need I say more? Staff was amazing. Hotel manager was like the carton Hero "Tin Tin. Hotel amazing. Room was inexpensive. I have never been in such a nice hotel and spend $1,000.00s a year on rooms around the world. The pice should have been over $500.00/night but it was around $100.00/night. If you are going to Amsterdam, stay at this Hotel in Haarlem and take the short train ride to Amsterdam.

Fantastic City.
Booked a getaway to Amsterdam, this hotel was perfect just a short bus ride from Schipol airport and your a 5 min walk from hotel. The staff are very helpful and I cannot parse them enough. The directions and the information was excellent, Harrlem is a very interesting city on its own and It's only a 20 min train ride in to the centre of Amsterdam.....In short Fantastic value and a lovely quiet hotel. Will stop there again.

Very nice hotel in a city close to Amsterdam
It's a very nice hotel located in Haarlem. We stayed there 3 nights and enjoyed a good service. The rooms are large and well equipped. It is a good option if you want to see Amsterdam and you don't want to sleep in Amsterdam - just to recommend, if you go by car. The purpose of our trip was sightseeing in Amsterdam. Therefore it was a good choice.
