Where Not to Stay When In Delft
We were very disappointed with this hotel for several reasons. The location was awful, advertised as the being in the center of historic Delft, but is actually 20 minutes away from Delft historic city centre and located in an isolated industrial area with few food options. We had been travelling all night and arrived at the hotel two hours before check-in, and the receptionist wanted to charge an extra 25 euros to check in early to an empty hotel. The internet did not work in the room nor in the lobby. The bar and restuarant were closed the whole time we were there. We were told that bottled water was complimentary to compensate for the bar being closed, but one receptionist tried to charge 10 euros for a bottle of water but decided not to when we asked to speak to the manager. The housekeepers took an almost empty roll of toilet paper off and did not replace it; had to call the receptionist for another roll.
