Dining

IZAKAYA
Sir Albert's luxury boutique hotel home features upper class Japanese dining thanks to IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar. The heart of this venue is the traditional Japanese Robata grill. Behind the open grill, in full view of all guests, the IZAKAYA chefs work their magic. IZAKAYA combines this ancient technique with its own trendy signature, resulting in simply irresistible dishes. IZAKAYA, best translated from Japanese, as 'pub,' is a unique and vital cornerstone of Japanese food culture, uninhibited and welcoming. The concept is authentic but not traditional. Like an Asian grazing menu, you can order as many or as few dishes as you like, depending on your mood. Besides the grilled specialties, the well-balanced IZAKAYA menu also offers Sakana - a variety of small dishes, Naturally they also gladly serve market-fresh sashimi and mouth watering rolls. All dishes are served on ethnical Japanese crockery.

family weekend away

Well located , although very grotty view out of our back facing window. Extraordinarily comfortable bed , the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Did not like reflective black glass doors to bathroom and wardrobe as it was easy to walk in to them and wasn't keen on high tech light switches either. Lovely but very small lounge / reception area .Hotel restaurant with bar in the middle of it is clearly very popular with locals in the evenings - it's loud , with music and v busy with people spilling out on to the pavement outside the reception to smoke which means there is nowhere to sit and relax in the evening except your bedroom which was fine by us but might not suit everybody. Very expensive 25 euro breakfast but luckily fabulous cafe / bakery down the road to the right. We got a very good rate on this hotel and would stay here again, but not if it had been more expensive.

A lovely bakery just to the rightof the hotel and on the other side of the road that serves freshly made croissants etc .at a good price compare to expensive breakfast at hotel.
