Dining

IZAKAYA
Sir Albert's luxury boutique hotel home features upper class Japanese dining thanks to IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar. The heart of this venue is the traditional Japanese Robata grill. Behind the open grill, in full view of all guests, the IZAKAYA chefs work their magic. IZAKAYA combines this ancient technique with its own trendy signature, resulting in simply irresistible dishes. IZAKAYA, best translated from Japanese, as 'pub,' is a unique and vital cornerstone of Japanese food culture, uninhibited and welcoming. The concept is authentic but not traditional. Like an Asian grazing menu, you can order as many or as few dishes as you like, depending on your mood. Besides the grilled specialties, the well-balanced IZAKAYA menu also offers Sakana - a variety of small dishes, Naturally they also gladly serve market-fresh sashimi and mouth watering rolls. All dishes are served on ethnical Japanese crockery.

All round fantastic!

We stayed for 4 nights for a 'special' birthday. The room overlooking the canal had a balcony and excellent facilities. The staff were amazing and the Japanese restaurant on site was exceptional. Just off the tram in an easy going area with plenty of cafes, bars and markets - what's not to like? Planning our next stay already...

Book a table in the Izakaya restaurant - hugely popular and deservedly so. Book for 9pm and you can have cocktails at the bar first then keep your table until closing.

A Real Treat

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like special guests. Excellent staff, a well-appointed room with a great view of the Rijksmuseum, and reasonably quiet.

Excellent stay at the Sir Albert

Great hotel, well located just outside all of the hustle, but close enough to get in and out on foot easy enough. Lovely rooms and lobby area. Great restaurant attached to the hotel as well which we had lunch at on the first day, very good. Would definitely go back to the Sir Albert.

Ask Tim at the hotel to get you in to the secret bar called the Butcher which is really nearby. We had a great night in here, awesome cocktails, and great food. Very cool.

Definitely Recommended!

We looked at a lot of hotels online before deciding on Sir Albert. I'm SO GLAD we did. The room was larger than it looked in photos online. It was very comfortable and we very much enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. They had umbrellas available for us in case it rained. I wish there could have been a gym, but it's a small hotel. Last year we stayed at the Conservatorium and thought this might be not as nice but it held up very well in comparison and the fee was reasonable. Definitely stay at Sir Albert!

Great Honeymoon Location

Great location, near a number of local evening restaurants, and near the Van Gogh museums, etc. Staff was great, and very accommodating to the new married couple : ) I'm not raving about the adjacent restaurant, perhaps it is my preference. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends Can't go wrong here!
