Terrible customer service

Because of the Hurricane and over 3000 flights being canceled I couldn't make the trip and worked with Orbitz to get a refund from the Park Hotel. After being on hold for over three hours waiting for the Orbitz customer service staff they called the hotel to see if they would refund the over 600 dollars I had spend for the four day stay. The reservations supervisor wouldn't budge on the refund even though this was a unpresidented storm. I wouldn't recomend anyone staying at this hotel as they have terrible customer service and are unwilling to work with you.

fantastic location

Perfect location and very helpful staff. The only down side was the 'over-designed' room facilities. The pillows were too deep for me to be able to sleep comfortably, and I ended up with a very sore neck. Having a choice of flat or chunky pillow would be better. The cabin style shower and toilet areas seemed flimsy, cheap and tight for space - the doors barely stayed closed and there would be little sense of privacy if staying with another person. Other than these design problems, the hotel suited me well. I would still recommend this hotel, but with provisos...

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Bagels&Beans was an excellent breakfast cafe about a 10min walk away. It was much more economical than the hotel breakfast, and available from 8am (unlike many other nearby cafes).

Friendly staff, excellent location & great service

I really liked my stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a little small but had all the amenities. The location can't be beat. It is near the museums and the entertainment area in Amsterdam. There are markets nearby and across the street, you can even take a canal ride. The service was exemplary. I would strongly recommend staying at this hotel

Great Hotel Experience!

This is a fantastic boutique hotel just on the outskirts of downtown Amsterdam. The rooms are more spacious than some other European hotels, but don't expect a huge room. I stayed in two different types of room: the executive and the superior. The executive is larger with a full bath (with tub) closed off from the bedroom. The superior is smaller. While the bed is the same size as that in the executive, the sink is out in the room with the bed, and the shower (no tub) and toilet are behind glass doors. They were doing construction on the side with the superior room, so the heat was broken and the noise started at 8. So, avoid that side of the hotel until the construction is finished. But they brought a heater for me, and the room was toasty (I was there in January). Overall, I highly recommend it!
