Lovely and relaxing

My teenage daughter and I rounded out a 2 week vacation with a few days in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. We could not have been happier with our stay at the Memphis. It is a beautiful hotel in a charming and safe neighborhood.The staff was always helpful and we felt very relaxed and pampered there. The location is one of the nicest in Amsterdam - a little away from the center but less than a 10 minute walk to the Van Gogh museum and the Riksmuseum and the tram is literally outside the front door.

décu

compte tenu du prix et du 4 étoiles, nous étions un peu déçus. la chambre est propre mais sommaire, la déco vieillote dans la chambre et dans l'hotel. Heureusement que c'était une promo car à prix normal, ça ne vaut pas 250 € ! Ses plus : l'emplacement et le personnel, très agréable

Hyvä valinta

Hyvällä paikalla siisti hotelli. Ystävällinen palvelu. Raitiovaunupysäkki vieressä. 500 m:n päässä useita pysäkkejä. Herkkäuniset saattavat häiriintyä heikon äänieristyksen vuoksi. Hyvä aamiainen (hollantilaiseksi). Hinta / laatusuhde superior huoneessa OK.

Ihan ok

Hotelli oli ihan ok. Jääkaappi löytyi ja kulkuyhteydet olivat hyvät. Ratikalla pääsi keskustaan muutaman minuutin välein. Tosin matka kesti reilut 15 minuuttia, joten ihan joka käänteessä ei viitsinyt lähteä Hotellilla käymään. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Aamupala oli ihan hyvä, tosin nautimme sen vain yhtenä aamuna, koska erikseen ostettuna se oli melko kallis.

Kurztripp nach Amsterdam

Das Memphis ist ein sauberes, freundliches Hotel etwa 20 Minuten (Straßenbahn) vom Zentrum / Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Über das Frühstück können wir nichts sagen, da wir in der Stadt gefrühstückt haben. Frühstück ist aber derzeit für 12,50€ p.P. zu haben. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und würden bei unsreem nächsten Ausflug nach Amsterdam gerne wieder hier übernachten.

Viihtyisä

Hotelli rauhallisella paikalla mutta hyvin julkisen liikenteen varressa, lyhyt matka pysäkille ja ratikka/bussi menee usein keskustaan. Hotelli siisti ja nykyaikainen sekä järeä ilmastointi, josta eritysplussaa kesähelteellä. Hyvä peti. Huoneessa ei jääkaappia, jos semmoista tarvitsee.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Turistin kannattaa vähänkin enemmän liikkuessaan hankkia julkisen liikenteen päiväkortti joita saa mm. Centraal stationilta 24-, 48-, 72-, 96-, 120-, 144- ja 168- tunnin OV-chipcardeina. Itse ostin 72h lipun joka maksoi ~13€ ja sillä saa tuon 3pv aikana matkustaa rajattomasti julkisilla. Kortti ns. leimataan aina mentäessä liikennevälineeseen sisään etälukijassa ja muistattava leimata poistuessa liikennevälineestä tai kortti lakkaa toimimasta.

Très satisfait

Excellent emplacement, personnel au petit soin : un hôtel à conseiller même si les chambres ne sont pas vraiment au niveau d'un 3*.

Optimal für Musikfreunde

Gute Lage für Konzertbesucher! Zimmer klein, etwas eng für zwei, aber in Ordnung. Problem: Kein Lichtschalter in Bad/toilette wenn man den anderen nicht im Schlaf stören wollte, musste man die Toilette im Dunkeln benutzen. Der Duschring war schwer zu bedienen - ein Kraftakt, der beim ersten Mal, als sich der Ring endlich bewegte, zu einer kleinen Überschwemmung führte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Sauberkeit ließ nichts zu wüpnschen übrig. Der tägliche unerbetene Handtuchwechsel war unnötig.

Das berühmte Konzertgebouw mit tollen Angeboten ist nur eine Straßenbahnstation entfernt und auch gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

3-Tages Trip

Ich war mit einer Freundin für 3 Tage in Amsterdam. Das Hotel befindet sich im Grunde genommen nicht sehr weit von Stadtzentrum, 5 Min. Gehweg zur Straßenbahn (2, 16) und mit der gelangt man ganz gemütlich ins Stadtinnere. Ebenso sind Supermärke und Bekleidungsgeschäfte 3 Min. vom Hotel entfert. Das Personal war auch ganz lieb. Das einzige was zu bemängeln ware, ist das Frühstück, und zwar nicht weil es schlecht war, sondern weil die Auswahl eher gering war. Für einen extra Aufschlag von 12,50 (pro Tag) erwartet man sich doch ein wenig mehr. Das Hotel und die Stadt haben uns trotzdem sehr gut gefallen und wir würden jederzeit wieder in das selbe Hotel kommen. Bis Flughafen ist es auch nicht so weit, (ca. 15 Autofahrt und ca. 40 Min. Busfahrt)man geht ca. 10 Min. bis zur Station "Museumsplein" und von dort aus mit dem Bus 197 direkt bis zum Flughafen, ist sehr praktisch.

Mukava pikkuhotelli.

Sijainti loistava liikenneyhteyksien kannalta. Raitiovaunupysäkki sijaitsee aivan hotellin vieressä eikä kävellenkään keskustaan kulu paljoa aikaa. Hotellin henkilökunta oli hyvin ystävällistä. Huone hieman vanhanaikaisen oloinen, mutta siisti ja ilmastoitu. Aamupala ihan kattava, mutta erikseen ostettuna aika hintava. Pikkupurtavan saaminen hotellissa iltaisin ei onnistunut ollenkaan, mikä mainittakoon miinuksena.
