1/2 between AMS and Amsterdam
Close / convenient --- right at the train station and major transit hub between the airport and the city. Nice to have breakfast included. Staff was nice. It does have wireless internet, but it did log you out periodically - not too big a deal, just annoying to have to login again and again.

Business Traveller Too
Nice Clean New Hotel At Train Station
Hotel is right at the train station. About 5 minute train ride to Central Station and 10 minutes to airport - with trains leaving frequently. Clean, descent value, and pretty convenient if you cant find something in the heart of downtown. It could use an elevated walkway to connect to the station. Both the sation and the hotel reception are above street level, so you have to take your bags down to street level and back up just to check in. Otherwise no complaints.

Good, But
This is a good hotel with a good location. The only problems were minor in that hotel is 'Green' but a little over the top on the 'Green' Example would be the bathroom sink water has a 'goveneour' on the faucet so you don't get very hot water; it's just a little hotter than warm. Location is OK but you have to take a train to Amsterdam Central Station in order to get into the heart of Amsterdam; cost about 4.5 Euro round trip for a same day trip; it's only one stop though so you're not on the train very long. A lot of steps at the train station; not very 'handicap' friendly so beware. All in all it was a good hotel and price was good as well.

Peace & quiet
Nice hotel in a quiet location. Stayed 3 nights & really enjoyed it. Rooms were updated & very comfortable. Chic bathroom, very clean. Included breakfasts are excellent & available until10 am daily - noon Sat/Sun. Weekends can be a rush as it's very busy in the dining area. Right next door to the Sloterdjik train station - trains to Amsterdam Central are only a 5 minute, 1 stop trip for 4.70 euro round trip. Not a lot of dining in local area & didn't eat at the restaurant in hotel although did visit the bar - affordable & good range. Front desk staff are extremely friendly. Would definitely stay again.
