We just needed a place overnight before a connecting flight. Did not realize there was a free shuttle. Wasted 60 USD. ... Restaurant has a limited menu, but excellent food. At euro prices of course. Do not plan on reading in bed with the little LED lights. Shower is eurostyle no door water on the floor style. Longish walk to tram to city center we did not attempt it. Queen bed was two twins pushed together. What amazed me was that we were on the back and at street level but the noise was minimal. Far less than the 20th floor of the hilton in downtown PDX. Ask for a frontside room and one not near the corridor fire door which kept us up banging during the day as guests and employees went back and forth. Not a problem at night.

Take the free shuttle. Doh! It is 5 euros to return.

Nice Room, Expensive breakfast
glad to be home! Aug 3, 2009
Great clean room! The location is somewhat isolated we thought. To get to the tram to go into the city to see any of the ... tourist areas you had to walk 15-20 minutes to get to it - which is ok - but the hotel could run a shuttle back and forth to catch the tram. we caught the tram into the city when we first arrived but it was pretty much dark by the time we got there so we were not able to see much and we were going to get up the next morning to head out again but it was pouring down rain the next morning we were there and so therefore we were not able to go see more of the area - we were traveling home and this was a layover stop and did not have rain gear to walk to the tram with cameras and our backpacks without getting soaked. yes, you could say that we should have been better prepared for all sorts of weather - but sometimes there's only so much you can bring with you. The breakfast was more of what i call a little more than a typical american continental breakfast that should have been INCLUDED in the price of the room - but it was 20 euros a piece even for kids!!! But with the location - there is nothing else around so you are trapped there unless you are able to catch the tram and go elsewhere. the staff was super friendly and that was pleasant!!

Airport Layover Trip
Nitu Jul 20, 2009
This hotel is awesome in decor. Being from NYC, the interior is like an upscale lounge, with the design and layout perfect ... for both intimate and social interactions! Only downside is we were told upon check in that we have continental breakfast and in the morning when we went to grab breakfast we were told it would be $28 euros per person!

when i arrived to amsterdam, the hotel shuttle was not there. another american couple and myself had to take a taxi to get ... to the hotel. in the morning i was made to pay for the shuttle back to airport. i was not told about the paid shuttle back to airport, and also was not informed that breakfast was not included, which was always the case in europe.

In the middle of an industrial park 10 minutes away from the airport. There's nothing close by without walking. The shuttle ... from the airport to the hotel is free, but to get back to the airport you have to pay 5 Euros or you're stranded.

Convenient for 10 hour layover.
CAJ Jun 9, 2009
I made a reservation over the internet 3 hours before arrival, and at reasonable cost. I arrived after the shuttle stopped ... running, and had an unhappy confrontation with cab driver (agreed to credit card then denied he had done so); 30 Euros for a 10 minute ride seemed excessive. Location is isolated in industrial type area, with little else close; but that met my needs. Expensive and inconvenient internet connection, I did not use it. Could not sit in bed without the bed scooting across the floor. I skipped the breakfast and had better food for less money at the airport.
