Hem hotel rateing

The hem is about a 15 min. cab ride from amsterdam central. Be careful when takeing cabs they will try to over charge you. 15-20 euros is good.Aside from being a little away from the entertainment center, this is a great hotel, for the price.Tell the hotels barmaid [...], David says hello.

I stayed there for two days and

I stayed there for two days and I found it calm, clean and comfortable. It is a little bit far from the centre of the city but there are good tram connections and that was not a problem at all.

Good deal in Amsterdam

staff was friendly and helpful took care of wakeup call and taxi to airport in a timely manner, room simple and clean. The little parklike garden was fun surprise. This hotel needs a good sign either by tramstop or in street as it is invisible from the street.(more people arriving were confused as to where it was)after a 13 hr flight you dont want to "search" for your hotel.

Go to tramstop 2 to get to the hotel ( from Adam cs)ask locals! It is 2 zones to the Hemhotel at exit stop cross street turn left pass elementaryschool on your left ,end of street turn right and search for very green courtyard w overgrown gate on you right.The tram is a good josseling 25 minute ride but gives a good tour of Adam neighborhoods so enjoy!

Just OK

The hotel is not on a major street. There were four table lamps in the room and two of them were missing a light bulb. The shower is right on the bathroom floor (expect to flood the bathroom) and the walls of the shower compartment (between the bathroom and the rest of the room) are semi-transparent. Parking will cost you extra, but not too much. This hotel is good if you get a room at a very cheap price.

There's a tram and a night bus that can take you to the city center and back. When you check into the hotel, they give you a card that tells you what tram/bus you need to take to what stop to get to the hotel, and on the back of the card, there's a number to call a taxi.

A good visit

The Hem Hotel is one block from the number 2 tram that goes to central station. There are two grocery stores, a bakery and some restaurants within 100 yards of the hotel. Rembrandt Park and Vondel Park are large parks within a half hour walk. My room was quiet and clean and the reception desk staff were very nice. I stayed at Hem Hotel for nine days and I would stay there again on a future trip.

Great Hotel Overall

My friends and I spent three nights at the Hem Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised at the overall place. I had gotten two quads for amazing prices (half as much as HOSTELs) so I wasn't expecting amazing rooms. However, what we recieved far succeeded the low expectations. the rooms were nice and clean, and fairly spacious. The location is not bad at all...just outskirts of the city where it's quiet and nice neighborhood (about one minute walk to the tram and 10 minute tram ride to the center of the city). Overall highly recommend.

It's nice hotel with reasonable

It's nice hotel with reasonable price. there is good transportation to the center, it takes 15-20 minutes.
