Charged extra Euro 50 for parking!!!!!!!!! Not worth!!!!!!!
When paid clearly said onsite parking available but we had to pay extra Euro 50.00 for overnight parking. It is clearly not worth for that much money. Nice clean hotel, but this is part of hampshire hotels and rather than Eden I prefer the Hampshire hotel. Price wise it is only a small difference but Rooms are much bigger and lot nicer. Unfortunatly we stayed in Eden (Prebooked).

Good location, meh hotel
We didn't spend much time in the hotel, so it didn't have much of an impact on our stay. The hotel can be best described in a word as dingy. Room was OK but dated. The common area by the bar where free wireless access was strongest was also dingy. In this era, it's beyond me why all hotels don't provide free wireless throughout their hotels. Access to the Internet is essential, especially as a US cell phone user without a global phone. The hotel was convenient (meaning walkable) to most of the city center. It was really a challenge to walk through the city. With the bikes, bike lanes, roads street cars and shared narrow sidewalks, you needed to be constantly on guard.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The hotel was quite close to many reasonably priced great restaurants. Generally speaking, Europe is quite expensive, so it was nice to find a place where you could get breakfast for 1 euro that included a croissant, a baguette with egg and bacon and coffee (Hermes, which was an easy walk from the hotel). It was tough to find anything that opened before 9am (Hermes opened at 8am).

Amsterdam Hotel
Great location near the opera house and many museums. The room I stayed in as well as the lobby needed carpet replaced and though the bathroom had been remodeled the bathroom door was a piece of frosted glass so no privacy. If you stay here don't have the hotel call you a taxi as it always costs 5 to 10 Euro more than calling yourself. There are many places to eat near by and the hotel food cost way more and is not that so eat elsewhere.

Eden Hotel, a clean modern hotel
We were pleased from the start when able to check in before time. The hotel is within walking distance of most sites we wanted to visit. Great resturant just next door. Tram stops 100 ft. from the hotel. Room was very clean, bath quite modern, and linens were first class. Our favorite hotel of the three we stayed in during our European 3 country visit. Highly recommend the Eden. Good value.
