Ideal area for nightlife and good restaurants

Six of us enjoyed a 4 day break at The Eden, the rooms were comfortable however the bathroom was very pokey. The staff were very helpful and the concierge on the front desk is very good. He organised all our excursions and airport transfers. There are a couple of downsides. The bar didn't open at all whilst we were there and the internet is very intemittent. The view from the front bedrooms is superb and you can see all that happens on the canal, but it is a main road and traffic, bin men and groups of people are on the go all night ! But don't let this put you off. It is a great place to stay.

Go to Volandam and visit the cheese & clog farm on the way. There is also a walk through a working windmill. Ask the concierge for directions.

Great Location

Fantastic location - Close to everything! Got an free "upgrade" to the "Apartment" which had some great views of the canal. The climb up through the narrow stairs is quite an experience. They were kind enough to get our luggage up. The room was ordinary. There are some clubs nearby so can be a bit noisy if you are an early to bed person!

Good location

This hotel is central with access to local transport nearby. The room was very clean and suited our requirements. The staff were very helpful and always in good humour. We enjoyed our short stay in Amsterdam and would stay in this hotel again. Many thanks to them. Good Irish pub just a few doors away from the hotel. Irish music and dancing and good pints.

Good but nothing more

The first room they give my me the first night was tiny and the heat system was making a horrible sound that bothered my sleep. I finally ask for another room and it was better. The staff is nice and the location is very convenient though.

Great location, good price.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to museums and places to eat. Very short walk to Dam Square, and close to a tram stop making it very easy to get to all parts of the city quickly. Requested a double bed, but got two twins pushed together. Rooms were decent and clean, hotel staff weren't exceptionally friendly, but weren't anything to complain about either. Looked much nicer compared to other hotels in the area at similar or higher prices.

We purchased the 72 hour "I Amsterdam" Card which included free public transport on metro, tram (I think also buses which we didn't use). Nothing is a far walk, but it came in handy since it was cold during our visit. Highly recommended if you plan to visit the museums. We did about 10 over the three days and saved lots of money, plus a canal cruise is included free which I would highly recommend as well; very relaxing and learned a lot about the city.

Charged extra Euro 50 for parking!!!!!!!!! Not worth!!!!!!!

When paid clearly said onsite parking available but we had to pay extra Euro 50.00 for overnight parking. It is clearly not worth for that much money. Nice clean hotel, but this is part of hampshire hotels and rather than Eden I prefer the Hampshire hotel. Price wise it is only a small difference but Rooms are much bigger and lot nicer. Unfortunatly we stayed in Eden (Prebooked).

Great location to reach the city

The hotel is located in a good spot to reach all areas of the city. Was able to cover all the spots I had listed plus more. The staff was helpful with information. The room size was good, for the location in town, was on the go all the time.
