Best Western Leidse Square Hotel Amsterdam

Location and price was most important for us. We walked to Rijksmuseum, Ann Frank House, and on to Dam Square and the Central Train Station. A good variety of restaurants available around Leidens Square. Room was ready when we arrived in the early afternoon and had not requested an early checkin. Bath was a little cramped, but not unusual for a European hotel.

We stayed for two nights, giving us two days to try to see everything in Amsterdam. With this location and a 48-hour tram pass, we managed to see a lot! It's a two minute walk from the Leidseplein tram station and the gates of Vondelpark, and a quick tram ride will get you within blocks of anything you're looking to see in town. When you come back to crash, the Best Western is excellent--spacious, clean, and quiet. The convenience of being two minutes from the square and the main road through the south and west parts of the city is wonderful--and so is being set back from each just enough to feel like you've exited the scrum. I wasn't expecting to be this enthusiastic about the BW, but it was a great place to stay!

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to Amsterdam for the first time. We didn't know much about the area but came across the Best Western because it was a good deal. The only negative thing that happened was that we checked in at 2PM and they gave us the room key and the room was not cleaned -- the previous occupants still had food out, the bed was not made, towels were used, etc. The staff apologized and the rest of the week we had a comfortable stay and the room was cleaned every day. The hotel is located a block from Leidesplein and tucked right next to Vondelpark. Great location!

Spent 2 nights here with my daughter,the hotel is in a great spot but good luck on finding it at first as nobody knew the name of it even tho it was near everything.quaint little hotel .iwould use this hotel again as it is quite and very clean also i love best westeren beds they are always so comfy.

Friendly staff, excellent facitities. The location for touring Amsterdam is great and the eating choices are abundant. Would definately stay here again.

For an affordable 3 star hotel I have to say the place met the expectations and exceeded them in many aspects. The room was very clean and nice and big enough and everything was working well. The safety deposit box was out of batteries but hotel staff came and changed them right away. The staff was in every way helpful and friendly, though I didn't need too much help as everything was going smoothly anyways. After reading a lot of reviews of many hotels in Amsterdam before my trip, I was really pleasently surprized by the fact that I didn't find anything to complain about this one. Definitely would recommend to any-one.

Das Hotel liegt am belebten Leidseplein, aber trotzdem ruhig. Das Zimmer war erstaunlich gross und gemütlich.

Das Zimmer war zwar klein, hatte aber allen Komfort. TV und WLAN. Ruhige Gegend, trotzdem zentral gelegen zum Flugplatz, Messegelände und Zentrum. Reichhaltiges Frühstück mit zuvorkommender Bedienung, auch am Empfang.

Passé que trois jours (janvier 2013) mais hotel très confortable et chambres spacieuses. Petit déjeuner varié, pour tous les goûts. Personnel sympathique et très aimable. Nous avons eu quelques soucis avec le wifi de l'hotel, sinon tout c'est très bien passé.
