College Budget

Went here for four nights, got the rooms for like $80 a night. Small room one bedroom thats it nothing really. But perfect for college budget with a little extra to spend. A little noisy, but really was what I was looking for after coming from America, living in London for a couple months and a vacation.

Great Stay!

I stayed at the Apollo for one night and really enjoyed my stay. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful during check in and check out, and they showed great interest in making sure my stay was pleasant. The room was small but was modern and very clean. Wireless internet was free and fast, and I didn't hear any noise from the street or from the other guest rooms. The location of the hotel is great- very close to several tram stops and buses, a short walk to bars and restaurants, and very safe. The hotel is in the museum district and is a great choice if you are looking to stay close to tourist attractions. I would absolutely stay here again when I visit Amsterdam again.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

The 197 bus is a short walk from the Apollo Hotel and goes directly to Schipol- for 4 euros, it's much cheaper than a cab and much more convenient than taking a bus or tram to Amsterdam Centraal and a train to the airport! It runs every 15 minutes or so and makes limited stops.

Checkout surprise

The hotel was great, the people were nice, but i had a very unpleasant surpsire when i checked out. I had paid for the hotel online, and got a good deal on price, so the hotel charged me 167 euros in "city taxes" for 2 nights. This brought me back up to full price for the hotel.

Pricey, but at least includes Internet !

Ideal location right next to the Reichs museum and 2 mins walk to tram lines... Highly recommended if you get a good deal on price..Internet included in the price and they also let you access a printer for free which can be really useful for tourists! Also very friendly receptionists! Take tram 2 or 5 from centr station all the way to the hotel. I also stayed at the NH City center hotel for the same price, which did not include Internet and what's more had a bad TV!!

Nice Hotel & Location For The Price

Booked the Apollo through [...], based on price, reviews and mapped location. I wasn't disappointed. Although my room was somewhat small, and right next to the elevator (heard faint mechanical noise during the day) the hotel was perfect for me, as it was clean, easy to access from the airport via train/tram, and provided a great European breakfast every morning.I was travelling alone, and had 4 days to spend in AMS. The Apollo was a 5-minute walk to the Van Gogh & Rijsmuseum, and 7 from great restaurants, a tram stop, and some great canal experiences. Walking everywhere was a breeze, and everything in/around the city worth seeing was simple to reach - yet I was still far enough from "downtown" to avoid the noise, congestion and crowds. The front desk staff was top-notch. They were professional, courteous and helpful - at all hours of the day and night. When my wife & I visit AMS together, the Apollo will definitely be on our short list of possible places to stay. I'd fully recommend it to anybody travelling to the city.

Great location. Rooms are extremely small, no pkg., breakfast price ridiculous. Hotel staff great. Considering everything else in comparison in Amsterdam, it is a little above average.

Good value for the money

A good experience, except for a noisy neighbor who fell asleep and left his TV on loud throughout the night twice. The situation was handled promptly, however, when I complained at the front desk.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Rijks museum is very very close. Also chill in Vondel park with a muffin and coffee from B & B by HardRock Cafe. Feed pidgeons if they don't scare you!
