We had a very nice stay at your hotel.

Our trip to Amsterdam was just to take a break from our jobs and family allowing us some down time to relax and rest. We enjoyed a canal tour, several nice dinners, some shopping, and walks in the many parks. It was a very pleasant vacation. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was terrific at directions and places that were must see tourist attractions.

Apollo Museumhotel Amsterdam City Centre

The hotel was in a great location; however when we made the reservations they failed to tell us that they were under construction and we woke up to jack hammers in the room directly above us 2 days in a row. Their resturant has strange hours and not much to pick from. They do have a shuttle service to the air port but for a couple it is cheaper to take a cab; and they do not have an eary pick up before 6:30 am. The rooms are of good size and are pretty clean; if you get "one" bed it is two twins pushed together. The bathrooms are awkward to say the least. The bathroom door is opaque so you can see whoever is in the bathroom. I would recommed this hotel to a friend. Overall it is good value for the money. All the hotels and shopping centers are within walking distance.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If you are planning on seeing the museums while you are there get the "I AMsterdam" pass; it is a pass that gets you into most of the museums for free or at a discount. It also include free public transportation for the time frame you purchase. We got one for 2 days and we easily got our moneis worth out of it.

Great Location

The Apollo Museumhotel was small but comfortable. We were put in the older not remodeled wing. The room was small, but overall clean. Carpet needs to be replaced soon. Best thing was the location. Right in the Museum quarter, a block from the Rijksmuseum and a few from Van Gogh museum. Right off the Metro line, a block walk.

Rento meininki

Excellent Location and Pleasant Staff

Excellent location, practically next to the Rijks Museum, which, sadly had not yet re-opened when we were there. We enjoyed our stay. We upgraded to a more "luxurious" room. The first room was too cold -- it was quite cold in Amsterdam all week -- because the window insulation was not tight. Strange about that. The room we changed to was fine...and quiet. Staff are very helpful, especially Yannick at the front desk. The extensive buffet breakfast costs 9.95 euros per person, if you let them know in advance; otherwise it is 12.50 each. WiFi worked only so-so in the room.
