Best Western Apollo Museumhotel Amsterdam

Wireless internet in the hotel was very intermittent. When it was available, the signal was Poor (1 to 2 bars max). The hotel was very noisy in the morning starting around 8 AM. There was no sleeping in while whistling, cleaning and talking went on in the hallway. The rooms are very small and have no closets. We had 1 suitcase and two backpacks and no room for any of it. On the positive side, the hotel was very clean, the bathroom was nice, the staff at the front desk was very helpful, and the location was nice.

Arrived at 10:30 PM and was informed that the room I'd reserved and paid for was not available. I stayed first night in a tiny room with a tiny bed. Too bad the price was not tiny.

This hotel is located within easy walking distance of the major museums in Amsterdam, as well as good restaurants and the art and antique district. The people at the front desk were courteous and professional. Rooms are small by U.S. standards and the furnishings are spartan. For example, our room had only overhead lighting in the ceiling--there were no lamps beside the bed. There is quite a bit of street noise.

The room was clean but small. We are not the types to stay in our room during vacation so this did not matter. The staff was friendly and very knowledgable, always willing to help. Walking distance to the Rijkmuseum, "I AMsterdam" sculpture, Van Gogh museum, Leidsplein, Rembrandtplien (PARTY/DANCE!!!!), the Blue Boat Canal Cruise, Tram 1,2,5 & blk away, P.C. Hoofstraat shopping and much more. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not go on vacation to spend time in their room. The price can not be beat for the location. One piece of advice skip the hotel breakfast and find a local place to eat.

Your typical compact european hotel room, but after a day in Ansterdam, a clean bed to lay on is all what matters. Good location, close to every thing. Very freindly staff, I was greeted by my name throught my 5-day stay. Decent breakfast buffet, but no in room amenities (coffee, fridge, ..). Enjoyed the free WiFi. 30-50 euro if plan to park your car in the area. Remote Park+Ride is the best deal.

The hotel location is very convenient for visiting museums, bus tours, canal tours and access to transportation and restaurants. The hotel breakfast was very good and the hotel staff was very helpful. The only negative was the room size.

Great location. Rooms are extremely small, no pkg., breakfast price ridiculous. Hotel staff great. Considering everything else in comparison in Amsterdam, it is a little above average.

Personnel very friendly, rooms small

The hotel was in a great location, the bathroom was big and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. One staff person on the evening shift was great, but the rest of the staff was just average and we did not feel that they were overly helpful. I feel the room was overpriced.

The location was great to visit the city. Most attractions were in walking distance and the trams were around the corner. The hotel was nice but the room and bathroom were small for a double room. Two persons in the room made for tight living.
