Clean, simple, good location

Nothing super special or memorable, but this is a very clean, solid hotel by all accounts. I think the location is great; plenty of coffee shops and activity nearby and the Red Light District is only a few blocks away.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Barney's Uptown is a great smoker-friendly restaurant on Haarlemmerstraat. Their breakfast burger is fantastic; extremely high quality beef with an egg on it.

Small and noisy rooms. Unpractical

Small and noisy rooms. Unpractical bathroom as no stand where you can lay your things and when you shower the whole floor area is wet.

Chose for the location and pictures

Chose for the location and pictures on website looked OK. Ground floor room smallish and stuffy. Supposed to be aircon but this not available. To get fresh air opened window to lightwell but had to close this in middle of night due to noise from basement and choking on smoke from cigarettes etc by ?staff/guests drifting straight in. Had only booked for one night and would not have stayed any longer.

excellent accomodations at a fair price

Hotel Bellevue was as advertised: clean and modern, and right in the heart of the city by the Central Train Station. Breakfast on the groundfloor Carla's Cafe was good and at a fair price, but for us it was not included in the hotel price.

very convenient location

The location of this hotel can't be beat. Our only complaint was that we couldn't reserve a double bed and ended up with two twin beds pushed together. The rooms are small, but we've stayed in more expensive hotels with smaller rooms.
