Great Value, Great Location
Before I begin, let me say that I am a single traveler who prefers three star budget hotels, so note that my review is based on this criterion. That said, here are the reasons I give this hotel a 4 star (in no particular order) …. Location - The hotel is only 1 block from Amsterdam Central Station, so you can take the train from AMS airport to Amsterdam Central Station, which is only four euros and only takes 20 minutes and then walk 1 block to the hotel. This makes returning to the airport nice too, a real money saver over a taxi. Also, the Hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam, so short walk to most stuff …. Staff – The staff was amazing. Easy to understand (I only speak English) and very helpful. They gave me a city map and took time to point out where everything is. They gave me an extra pillow on request and my wake-up call was on-schedule … Room Quality – As stated earlier, I would rather pay less for my hotel and bring my own shampoo, so I usually go for three star hotels, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. The bed was small but surprising comfortable, the sheets were high quality, included a duvet. The room was very small, but I don’t spend a lot of time in the room, so I’m ok with a small room. (Your mileage may vary). The room included a free safe, free WiFi (which worked in the room), flat screen TV, shelf/drawers, quality A/C, a tiny bathroom, built-in hair blower and a shower with hot water that stayed hot and awesome water pressure! I was on the 4th floor. My room did not have a view, but a nice surprise is that my window opened, so I could air out the room! That was HUGE, as I love the smell of fresh air. I would recommend to anyone looking for these traits in a hotel. Happy travels.

Incredible Value
The hotel location is great! The hotel is 1 block away from the Amsterdam Central Station. There is a train at the Amsterdam Airport you can pickup and in 20 mins be at the Amsterdam Central Station, then this hotel is only a one block quick, easy walk. That makes returning to the airport nice too. Additionally, you are in the heart of Amsterdam, so you’re close to most stuff. The staff at the hotel was amazing … very friendly, easy to understand and willing to help. Before I discuss the room, please note that I am a single traveler who doesn’t want to pay a lot of money on a 4-star hotel. I’d rather save the money and bring my own shampoo! I am rating the room for another single traveler with similar needs. So, that said, the room exceeded my expectations. Albeit the room was very small (which I am fine with), it had what I really want in a room, which is … a free safe, a flat screen TV, a private bathroom in the room with a shower where the water stays hot and has strong water pressure, powerful A/C, comfortable bed with duvet cover and expensive sheets, extra pillow on request and free WiFi. That’s what I look for in a hotel and it had it all. The room had a hair blower and shelf/drawers too, for those who care. A nice surprise was that the window in my room opened, so I could air the room out. That was stupendous, as I love the smell of fresh air!!! Net-Net, if you compare what I paid for the hotel and the value I received, for a single traveler like me, I would totally recommend.

The hotel is 1 block from the Amsterdam train station. You can take the train from AMS Airport to downtown Amsterdam for only four euros. It is only a 20 min train ride and the best part is you are only 1 block walk to hotel.

Small But Cozy
This hotel is ideal for couples. Rooms we're small but clean for the most part. I went with my Dad and we got a Double- single bed room they were side by side and there isn't any room to separate them. Decent room for the price. Right downtown next to Centraal Station. Tons of coffee shops right by. We stayed for a week and had a blast!

Go to a few souvineer shops first and look around at what u might want. then make a list of the stuff, THEN go make your purchases. I bought a lighter at a shop, went directly across the street to another identical souvineer shop. The SAME exact lighter, 4 Euro Less! SHOP SMART!

Hotel Bellvue Amsterdam
The staff were A+helped in every way. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were very clean and modern. Very quiet nicely insulated. The Air Conditioning was whisper quiet. Plenty of towels. On the 5th floor you can go outside by the elevator and see the city up so high. Beautiful view. Central to all places of intrest. The supermarket was not far away , and the post office was just around the corner. I was very happy. Thank you I felt like a Queen.

Not very good
The hotel is good located, very close to the central station. Other than that, my single room was functional, but without amenities, my pillow was terrible dirty, the carpet had a smell and as a small hotel you can hear even the neighbour snoring. They close the door around 10 pm and then you have to wait for about 10 minutes untill they open again (too bad)

okay for 1 night
smallest room I've ever seen. My window looked into a light well so I had to keep the curtains closed. Bed somewhat comfortable and the wifi worked well. It was very clean, though. Didn't include breakfast either. Near the train station which was a plus. Was overpriced for what I got.

Good location, poor service
good location near Central Train station. Very small but clean rooms. We got there early and requested early check in. The woman told us room was not available yet but she would tell us when it was. We watched several people check in early and asked her a couple times if room was ready but she said it was not. Finally, at 2 PM I went up the desk and she seemed surprised by my presence and gave us our room. She seemed either passive-aggressive or not too bright.
