This property is an acceptable choice for those on a budget and those who want to be close to the city centre but in a more typical Amsterdam environment. 180707NN The hotel is located in a modern corner building typical to the area. This hotel is situated by the Overtoom which, although not in the heart of the city, is a 20 minute walk to the Leidseplein or a 5 minute tram ride away (tram 1 and tram 17 goes to Central Station in about 15 minutes). The Overtoom itself has numerous restaurants, shops and bars which are popular with the locals and is a short walk from the famous Vondel park.

Okayish for a budget

Situated outside the very center of Amsterdam but reachable with 2 trams (1&17, both go straight from the central station), but as an exchange directly at a very noisy crossroad that's crowded by day and rushed by single cars in the night. The room cleaning was good but the materials sheets towels etc. where overall in a torn condition, everything covered in some layers of grey. I didn't go to the breakfast so i cannot tell anything about this. Check-in/out happened seamlessly. Overall, ok if you're on a budget, since Amsterdam is an expensive city in whole.

You get what you pay for

This place was way cheaper than every other hotel that was close to downtown, and there's a reason. The place is run down, staff is rude and indifferent, and the room was small and spartan even by European standards. We were on a budget and in town for only a night so it got the job done, but if I went to Amsterdam again I would spend the money and stay somewhere else.
