Great food and service!!!

The Everest is not exactly a 5 star hotel but for the money the service and room quality are great. The Everest is very close ... to the airport but unfortunately farther from the Thamel and other tourist attractions than you might like. Although the minibar fridge waas not stocked nor operable, and the room was a bit grubby for a hotel billing itself as 5 star, the service and breakfast buffet were great!!! Central heating and plenty of hot water are truly amenities to boast of if visiting Kathmandu in winter time. The footmen really do sport Tibetan felt boots and costume just to remind you where you are!
