Kathmandu
The Crowne Plaza Soaltee is surrounded by gardens which alleviate the massive pollution of Kathmandu. However because it is so far out from other venues, one is more or less forced to eat in the restaurants. Service is slow, and there is not much variety on the menus. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Internet connection was intermittent. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is a little far out if you want to explore the many shopping areas of Kathmandu. So if you want to explore you have to use a taxi. Riding in taxis in Kathmandu is a nightmare of honking horns, traffic jams and millions of motor bikes. Being a pedestrian is hazardous even if you want to browse in side streets.

Impressive facilities, beautiful
Impressive facilities, beautiful setting, enjoyed our 1 nite stay. Very up market hotel which we thought was good value.
