Nice hotel - a bit out of the way though
So, I booked this for one night because I arrived so late in Marrakech and I wanted to make sure I was in a safe location. This hotel is very beautiful and clean! The staff are friendly, but be careful as EVERYONE wants money - pretty much anyone who helps you in Marrakech expects money from you - except women and shopkeepers. I had asked the Zalagh to arrange for a car to pick me up at the airport - and instead of a taxi which should have cost about $18, I was stuck with a sedan which cost me about $60. I told the driver that it was too much and we settled on $40. ALWAYS NEGOTIATE YOUR PRICES. Be specific about which car you want. This hotel is the kind where people wait on you and expect tips, so be prepared for this. If you have money then go ahead and stay. It has a beautiful pool and the grounds are lovely. The negative thing about this is that it is not in walking distance of the medina. It is tucked away by the new area where it is a mesh of new hotels, residences, and streets leading to the palace. The room was nice though and it is the only "Western" style bathroom I saw during my entire trip in Morocco. There is also a TV and a nice balcony in each room.

Short drive from hotel
If you are a single woman - be prepared to be home by 9pm or so. Nightlife is for men, married women with their husbands, and good (female) friends who are attached by the arms.

Déception
En téléphonant le 2 et 4 Mai après midi, pour exposer au directeur un de mes futurs projets, je me suis heurtée à un mur. La réception a refusé toute demande de ma part sans motif. Dans cet hôtel, chacun joue un rôle qui n'est pas le sien: j'ai eu droit à des (faux) directeurs, à des (faux) responsables ains qu'à une standardiste qui m'a dit qu'elle était malade et qu'elle avait mal a la tête juste avant de me raccrocher au nez. Ce genre de comportement est intolérable dans un établissement aussi prestigieux que celui-ci. Les employés ne méritent aucunement leur poste pour lesquels les services rendus aux clients, la courtoisie et la politesse représentent la base même de leur travail. J'espère pouvoir un jour réussir à contacter le directeur pour lui faire par de mon mécontentement et de ce qui se passe dans son hôtel. Je rappelle que la réputation d'un hôtel se mesure à la qualité de ses employés.

Bon produit
Hôtel bien entretenu, propre, personnel aimable et poli. Chambre spacieuse et agréable, superbe piscine. Petit bémol mais petit concernant le petit-déj, peu de choix. Bonne prestation
