Incredible views, adventures at intimate resort outside Marrakech
Rose Garden Resort & Spa sits seven miles outside of Marrakech in the Palmeraie Desert. I was curious about this hotel as one of the sites where Sex and the City II was shot. The hotel did not disappoint--from the luxurious rooms with semi-private gardens to the sumptuous fare in the restaurant, this hotel is a must see. Full spa services are available alongside other amenities you would expect at a full service resort. Ideally, you should rent a car to make your jaunts to the city-center more manageable.

Relaxing desert resort
Far from city center, about 20 minutes by taxi, so if you are looking for Marrakech medina action around the clock, stay in the medina. a wonderful resort with great staff, quite, very big rooms, inside of large villas. Beautifuly constructed, with a lot of attention to details (somewhat hard to maintain for that matter). the room was in a villa with private pool. The place is very beautifl, worth the drive to the city center (and in Marrakech you don't want to be all day, it's not a pleasant city)

Short walk from hotel
chez Ali, a very famous traditional Morrocon place, just minutes away. I did not go, but it was recommended by the stuff of the hotel

Do not book this hotel
Nothing works in this place. The transportation from the airport we had booked never showed up. We took a taxi- late in the evening and when arriving to the hotel we were told that there was no electricity or water in our room. We were transported to an other hotel (cold, simple place) with a promise that "we shall call you tomorrow". Nobody called, of course. We were picked up in the end late next day, but our room still was not ready. The staff was "so sorry" but did not really show any servicemindedness. The staff and especially the ones working on room service and the restaurant/bar usually don't understand english and work SLOWLY. Everything is very random. There is no terrace bar och pool bar and the restaurant is one room without table cloths and instead of napkins we got a package of Kleenex on our table. The hotel is really far from Marrakech, isolated in the middle of nowhere. Don't book this hotel- it is not worth it!

Très bon hôtel. Petit déjeuner
Très bon hôtel. Petit déjeuner moyen. Mais il faut vraiment communiquer sur l'emplacement car nous avons mis 2h30 avant de le trouver alors que nous étions dans la bonne rue...
