Great holiday

Everything was great except the reception service. We had a special offer Morrocan meal included in the price. We were there for one week, namely the Xmas week,Saturday to Saturday. We booked Thursday(Xmas day) in the morning for the Friday evening,as it was our last night there. We were told at around 5pm on the Friday that there had been a mistake as we should have been told that the restaurant was closed on Fridays! I went to reception and complained. After saying that they should at least reimburse me the price of a standard meal, they reluctantly said they would give me a free bottle of a good red wine with the evening meal and a bowl of fruit!I said I was leaving the following day so what would I want with a bowl of fruit!?No wine came till I complained,in the middle of eating, when some fizzy wine came which I sent back.Maria at reception had told me to speak to head waiter who would bring the red wine to the table, but when I spoke to him he knew nothing about it.Prior to this she had told me to wait in my room for it and after wasting half an hour it didn't arrive. So not impressed with reception service!

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Don't use travel guides to take you around Marrakech. They take you to the expensive places where you get ripped off and they get back handers. Also don't tip them as they get paid by the hotel. Make sure whats included in the excursions and make sure what clothing you need, especially for trips to the Atlas mountains as nothing is explained to you.

Good All inclusive holiday

This was our first visit to Maarkech and we were bit apprehensive. We reached a bit late at the hotel on arrival but went straight to dinner while recetion staff sorted out our rooms.Overall our stay was very nice.Swimming pool is good and restaurent next to it caters well to Vegetarian too which is at times problem for vegans in Europe.Food was very nice. There is sauna and message parlour which qas good.Hotel is not far from main Medina and it takes only 8 mins by hotel free bus to reach there.Good cultural programmes are organised each evening. I would stay again in this hotel but will go in better season(went in Aug when temp was 41 C).Special thanks to reception who tried to resolve little problems like non functioning telephone.

Good holiday

This hotel was very good as a whole and we had a excellent family holiday. Highlights were the food the cleanliness, the pools and the staff. We are not normally into the evening entertainment but it was surprisingly uncheesey. Considering August was a busy time of year the whole hotel ran very smoothly. Two very minor points were: we were a little surprised to have to pay extra for the gym and also some of the sun beds were a little uncomfortable.

Nice couple break

We went to this hotel for 4 nights. When arriving we had to wait until 14:30 for a room which meant nearly a 4 hour wait. Once we were eventually taken to our room there was no bed linen, no towels and no shower products. The room was a very good size although we had to sleep on two single beds pushed together, which unfortunately my other half kept falling down throughout the night. However there were some very good points, great pools very clean even if they were a bit cold, and lots of poolside loungers, and the staff in the bar were very helpful. The choice of food was of great standard and had something to cater to everyone's taste, and the staff were happy to help. And our spa treatment was very nice. Overall a nice break away for a few nights, however I don't think we would have needed any longer as there was limited entertainment as it was all in French.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

I would recommend a guide to take you around the souks as they are very large and very confusing. And the guides can take you to the best quality shops.

Good Hotel

I would rate it as 4star not 5. Everything was fine. However they need to have some staff who can speak fluent English .

Great birthday getaway with family

On arrival as a family of 3 adults & 1 toddler, we were taken to a double room as a 'family room'. We were promptly & kindly moved into a junior suite My advise would be please note there are only 2 room types: a double/deluxe room and a Junior suite with a king size bed & 2 single sofa beds. Be careful to clarify if requesting a family room as you may get either (according to the hotel manager). Also a free hamman means 30mins in steam room/sauna NOT a body wrap (need to pay extra for this). Other that the above, it was a great break - staff especially the very friendly & helpful Animation team staff made a huge difference! My toddler also enjoyed his time with lots of activities to keep him busy (chargeable baby club). There was a huge buffet spread during the meal times - of reasonable quality & always something for everyone. If one was bored, there are nice restaurants breathy or in the town centre. There is a daily free shuttle bus service from the hotel to Medina but ideally should be booked the day before as popular. There was closure of the main pool due to works and often due to the weather, the smaller ones were closed also. Not too disappointed as was a bit cold on those days! Overall we enjoyed it, will likely return & recommend Kenzi Club Agdal with clarification (as above)!

Not a 5 star hotel.

We stayed in the hotel to end our 10 day trip in Morocco. Previously we stayed in 2 different Riads in the Marrakech Medina and a 5 star hotel in Essaouira and comparing to them we were disappointed. The hotel is far away, the rooms are average, dark and very simple, especially the bathroom. The food in the hotel is terrible and I'm suprised that so many French and Italians travel there and are able to eat this heated up, blunt dishes. The only nice thing to eat was an omlet for breakfast as it is served fresh (prepared in front of you), almond milk adn pastries. The quality of alcohol was poor as well. Juices were not freshly squeezed but seemed to have water and sugar added. We were although amazed by the amount of activities organized on the site: golf, archery, aqua gimnastics, cooking lessons just to mention a few and all that was included in the all-inclusive price. The pools were very nice too. Water was very warm in them and it was nice to linger and sunbath around them. The only thing is to either better bring your own beach towel, or you will need to pay a deposit of 150 dirhams every day and pick them up from the reception. Although we had to log-out by noon we could stay until 5pm and were given a room for 20 minutes to shower and prepare for the trip, which was fantastic. Staff was overall friendly and it was cool to be taken by the golf car. Free shuttle to Medina was handy but the last one was back too early, especially when Marrakech lives by night. No gluten free food was available on the site and there was a very bad internet connection, which disqualifies this hotel from being a 5 star resort. It's mostly designed to host big group tours. There are so many better places to stay in Marrakech and you can also find great food there in reasonable prices which doesn't have to be all Moroccan.
