Marrakech hotel with comfortable rooms, low rates near Koutoubia Mosque
The Islane hotel is located just down the street from the Koutoubia Mosque. Guests of the hotel can enjoy impressive views of the nearby mosque's towering minarets and explore the old city. Attractions close to Islane include the Djemma El-fna square, Dar Si Said Museum and the Saadian Tombs, all less than a mile from the hotel. The hotel was clean. Breakfast is almost a repeat everyday, i think it could do with different items sometimes. The staff are very helpful. Most of them speak english. The hotel is in a very good location, and being on the main road there are plenty of taxis and busses. The bus from just ouside the airport terminal is only 20 dirhams. I have used this hotel three times now and would stay there again.

Very small rooms. The first room
Very small rooms. The first room they were going to put us in did not have a window, then they changed to a small window you could not see out of as it was very high. The location was excellent only five minutes walk to the square and markets. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very poor. Left outside and the flies went on all the food. If you want to be close to the square then stay here if not find another hotel.

quick freindly service, 2 min
quick freindly service, 2 min walk round the corner to he main square, comfy beds, good showers with plenty hot water...and air con that worked, loveley traditional hotel, had a great stay. Thanks

Service, cleanliness and attitude
Service, cleanliness and attitude of the staff were hopless. The staff only help you if you tip them generously or if you take tour packages they suggest. If not they refuse to help even to tell you directions to an ATM or train station. The water in the bathroom smells. Breakfast was ok and location is very good. But for the money paid for a night not worth it.

For those with heavy suitcases,
For those with heavy suitcases, lack of lifts is a problem. The rooms were small and the aircon in some was ineffective or not working. The restaurant on the terrace is a great selling point, as is the central position. Breakfast was generous and the view over the Koutabia was magnificent.

hotel well placed to old town(Jemaa el Fna Squire). helping personnel. Taxis are easily available to airport, 10 Km. Rooms small and furnishing very basic. Bathrooms need urgent attention for repairs. Old Hotel, no lift. Check for blocked wash basin and shower outlet when arriving. Good breakfast buffet at the terasse overloking Atlas mountains

Very good location by the Koutoubia
Very good location by the Koutoubia Mosque, close to Djemaa el-Fna and the souk. Beautiful breakfast terrace. Dark rooms. No hot water.

Très bon emplacemnt dans la Mé
Très bon emplacemnt dans la Médina.Chambre située au deuxiéme étage,ne possédant q'une toute petite fenêtre.Pièce mal ventilée(odeur de moisi et de "renfermé").Eclairage artificiel insignifiant (2 chevets ,1 lampe de faible puissance à proximité de la T.V.).En résumé,impression de chambre mortuaire.Peintures à rafraîchir.Terrasse de restaurant trés agréable et panoramique sur l'avenue et la Koutoubia.Chambre non prête malgré notre retard d'1nuit 'arrivée à 10h30 au lieu de la veille à 22h.
