Marrakech hotel in Hivernage with a hammam bath and pool

After reading some reviews, we felt choked, was too late to cancel, but we went ahead to make the best out of this adventure. We arrived at royal Mirage around 4 am, from the airport, the bellman didn't speak any English, nor does the receptionist, it was a stressful day, we were tired and hungry, we got a room but untidy, the light was weak, the AC was off, and there're no English channels on TV, we went right back to the front desk, the Hispanic manager [...] was talking with some Germans, he did noticed we had our frustration, he came and greeted us, we were surprised how fluent was his English, First he insisted we get an early Breakfast, Our laguages were moved while we were still in the restaurant. The up graded room's equipped with satellite TV, mini bar, Wifi and a fabulous view overlooking the magnificent swimming pool and the mountains: we right away felt home away from home. He advised us to negotiate in Souks, the attractions and places to visit. We strongly recommend this resort; with its new management, a new Pickalbatroos label, a courteous, smiley and helpful staff… Don't read other peoples rubbish; you gotta see it to believe it…you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.

A complete Mirage- nothing what expected
Upon arriving, they charged us an additional $40 per night for my husband. We really did not understand why, as we made reservations for a single room but they insisted that we have double beds. After forking over the additional money we walked through a very nice lobby and were faced with the great looking pool. We went up to the rooms to find none other than two sunken beds with furnishings at least 30 years old. It looked like one of the run down hotels in Panama City, FL. We sucked it up and went out to the pool. It is really nice but the bar is EXTREMELY over priced. For four drinks we spent the equivalent of $60. These are the prices I would expect in Manhattan, not in a this resort. While we really enjoyed the pool, we got kicked out of it when we tried to go in after dinner one night. We were completely dissatisfied and are very happy that we did not have a three night stay. Instead our third night was at a quaint guesthouse for which I will specifically travel back to Morocco to visit. The Royal Mirage is just that... a vision in the distance but not what it appears once you get close.

Hôtel très agréable. Personnel
Hôtel très agréable. Personnel très pro. Hotel situé vers la Menara et direct à pied à la Koutoubia (environ 15 minutes à pied). Seul bémol : les femmes de chambre qui tapent à 8h30 pour faire la chambre et qui reviennent (ou pas) uniquement à 16h pour faire la chambre. Petit déj copieux et varié. Piscine très grande.
