Cliffside hotel with restaurant, bar, infinity pool and amazing views
The Hotel Irma is perched on a cliff overlooking Playa la Madera and has a long tradition of serving tourists on Mexico's Pacific coast. Originally featuring just 12 guest rooms and a staff of four, hotel expansions have resulted in the current layout of 67 comfortable guest rooms and several terraces and paths leading to two swimming pools with sweeping views of the bay. A hand-carved stone fountain and traditional mural at the entrance set the tone for the charming style found inside the Hotel Irma.

Great Bargain
Great bargain for an oceanview room, however choices in bed arrangements limited to 2 double beds.

Relax in this scenic bay getaway
Staff was very welcoming. Restaurant meals very good at the hotel but other top notch restaurants are close by for a change of pace. Nice infinity pool location and deck front rooms give plenty of space to relax.

Mixed Feelings
PROS Fantastic views and super friendly helpful staff. Well located for walking and cheap cabs. Budget friendly. Clean well maintained property CONS Beds and bedding had few redeeming features. Room amenities sparse. Many stairs. Public areas got pretty crowded when the hotel filled up. OVERALL An enjoyable stay at a well run hotel.

Great location, great place, great time
This was the fifth time staying at Hotel Irma and it was just as good as all the other times I was there. I asked to change rooms and the front desk staff easily made the change. The views from the hotel are wonderful! The small size of the hotel makes it charming and more personal. I also like the fact that there is a mix of people from Mexico and other places staying at the hotel. I am already planning my next stay at Hotel Irma!

Laid Back Traveler
Already planning next year's stay at Hotel Irma
Hotel Irma was a great place for us to stay - we just returned from a 6 day trip, and couldn't be more pleased. Hotel Staff is extremely accommodating and nice - someone is at the front desk 24 hours a day, and the waiters and bartenders are really attentive. Our Room - very clean! Beds are firm and on par with my many trips to Mexico. A/C worked great. We had a view of the bay from the sliding door entry and a window to the street as well. Pretty quiet. Hotel Vibe - mostly retired couples... quiet and laid-back. Didn't see any kids, and honestly if you are traveling with kids I would stay elsewhere, probably on Playa La Ropa which has more activity. Pool area - awesome! two pools that overlook the bay, with chairs and sun beds, never had a problem getting 2 chairs. Hotel restaurant and bar overlook the pool area. Location - at the top of the hill on Calle Adelita, a 10-15 min walk to Centro, or a 3-5 minute cab ride. There is always a taxi out front of the hotel. Overall - perfect for couples and people who like it quiet. We didn't spend too much time in the room - a few hours at the pool and lots of exploring in town and around the area. If you are looking for a resort experience, head to Ixtapa.

The Beast
Casual and relaxing
This will mark my 4th stay at Hotel Irma and I've yet to be disappointed. The staff is friendly and the view is terrific. The rooms are simple but clean.

Hotel has an amazing view. It was extremely clean. staff was helpful. It is on a cliff so sometimes the hike to the beac or town was a bit much. cabs were available if you were a
