Welcome to the Howard Johnson Hotel Veracruz--we are minutes from the beach. In addition, we are 2 blocks from the Aquarium, 5 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from the Veracruz airport. The Howard Johnson Hotel Veracruz offers complimentary wireless internet access throughout the hotel and in all the guest rooms. In addition we have a 24 hour restaurant, room service (Sundays, we close at 10 pm), business center and a small rooftop pool with sun deck. We have a variety of rooms to meet your needs - from our comfortable standard rooms to one of our comfortable Master or Presidential Suites. All our rooms are air conditioned, have Cable TV with English and Spanish channels, coffeemakers, clock radio and in-room safe.

Ok location, awful room

There are much better options for the price (70 USD) in Veracruz, for this rate the booking option mentioned no view, but I believed that meant no ocean view, not that the only window in the room and bathroom would face a wall 3ft away from the room were no sunlight enters, and you can see the water tubes and cables, and that is it. The toilet was leaking. The only good thing about HoJo was a free good and fast wifi connection.

My trip was bad

I had to give it a star rating, but I would have rated it a "Zero". They couldn't find our reservation, couldn't except international credit cards for the "deposit" which was included in the price of the reservation they couldn't find. Small rooms with hard beds, and if you're bigger then a size 5 you had to turn sideways to get into the bathroom. I will not return!

Excellent deal

This hotel is great for the money. I have a timeshare and often stay in outstanding resorts. This hotel does not have the amenities as those resorts, but for a great price, you will get a very clean, friendly, and safe stay. The pool is on the top floor. While it is on the small side, it boasts an outstanding view of the ocean, the historical district, and the boulevard. The hotel restaurant offers good food at a good price. The hotel is on the boulevard, close to the historical district, the aquarium, and not far from the "new" part of the city--which is actually it's own city--Boca del Rio.

The room was not the best

The bathroom was small. My room always had food odors. The location was very good.
