Located on the main plaza, in front of the cathedral and to one side of the town hall, Hotel Imperial is the place to live the history and folklore of Veracruz in style. Known for its elegance, the hotel has been visited by important figures of Mexican history throughout its many years of service.

Good location for the price
Old hotel bur room are nice, good location in downtown,safe area and close to many places like restaurants,banks,post office,night life etc. Los portales were you can sit and enjoy people, food, drinks and music etc. Personal were nice but they need to said more about the discont that one has in the bar and restaurant.

Nightlife tip:
In Hotel
outside the hotel is the portales, place were you can eat drink and listen local or nacional music. Only ploblem too many venders but that is part of the folklor of the city

For Price excellent hotel
For the price it was excellent! Live music every night in front of hotel until 430am....I did not mind....but It was loud....

Horrible rooms on the
[...] once we arrived to the hotel room it was obvious that they had run out of rooms and put us in an AWFUL room. It was substandard by any measure and we didn't have much choice of where else to go because it was new year's eve and everything was booked. So we bit the bullet and stayed. Thankfully it was only one very short night in this horrendous room. I have pictures to show that I am not exaggerating. It is located in some backwards area of the hotel that is hardly trafficked and seems to be a part that was never renovated. There was a lightbulb dangling from wires lighting the hallway leading to the room. No fixture, no lamp, nothing just an incandescent lightbulb. Absolutely substandard for the 100USD we paid for a single room. I am certain there are better motel rooms. Again, we would have gladly paid more to have a better room but there was nothing else available in the city due to new year's eve. I would like to share some fotos to illustrate what I am describing. Beware - Do NOT stay in this hotel until you are shown your room....
