Too spread out

We all felt that this hotel was too spread out. Anything you need to do and reach you have to walk alot. There is nothing close to the rooms. I definately would not stay at this hotel anymore

Great Place to Stay and Experience Uxmal

The hotel staff was very welcoming and was genuinely happy we chose to stay there. The location is literally right next to the archaeological site, which makes it easy to tour. The hotel also offers guide service to which enhances the experience. The rooms and amenities are beautiful. The food/on-site restaurant was fine considering the location is in the middle of nowhere.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The ruin is within (very short) walking distance of the hotel, which saves $ on parking.

A bit of paradise in the heart of the Yucatan

This is a perfect base of operations for exploring the Puuc Route, Uxmal, Kaba and several other Mayan sites. For Uxmal you can not stay any closer, being directly across the street from the entrance. That is just unparalleled with any of the other hotels in the region. Our room was amazing and the staff gracious and helpful even though our Spanish was very limited. The pools were nice after a busy morning hiking through ruins and the restaurant was open all day long. There is a bar at the lodge, and just down the street is the Hacienda with it's own restaurant. The Americano breakfast comes with a fresh fruit plate that is almost a meal in and of itself. This was included for us and we never looked farther for breakfast. If you are looking for a drink with a local flavor, grab a Tamarindo Maragrita. They make them with top shelf stuff and are a real taste treat that helps ease away the aches from climbing too many pyramids. Lastly the other review talks about how the hotel is too spread out. This makes no sense to me and I wonder if they were trying to leave a review for another location. Just look at the satellite map for yourself, I've had to park farther away from the door when shopping than you have to walk here! I would not only recommend this site to a friend, I plan on working it into future trips for myself.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The light show at Uxmal is worth going to if for no other reason than getting to walk through part of the site after dark.
