Villa Arqueologica Teotihuacan

This hotel is just outside of the pyramids so is an easy walk. The grounds are lovely. Food is good. The service however, is very very slow with no initiative taken at all. The rooms are smallish but clean. The price of the food can be high, especially for Mexico. 4 cups of tea and two pieces of toast was $28USD. So expect to pay big city prices.

We have stayed in a variety of hotels while visiting archeological sites in Mexico-both nice and not so nice. Villas Arqueologica was by far the best. The hotel was lovely, the food was great, the service was friendly and helpful. We spent the mornings touring the archeological zone and the afternoons either relaxing in our room or getting a lovely massage or having a drink by the beautiful pool. The hotel arranged for transportation back to the airport in Mexico City and we managed to leave our camera bag in the van. We called the hotel and reported the loss never expecting to see our vacation videos again. The next day in New York we received an email from the hotel telling us that they had our bag and would ship it back to us. Thank you....Thank you! I have read other reviews of this hotel complaining that the hotel is isolated. It is true that the hotel is off by itself and you won't be taking "touristy" strolls around the neighborhood but, it's quiet in the evenings, you can walk to the main entrance to the archeological zone in 5 minutes and the hotel can call an inexpensive taxi to get you anywhere else you want to go. I have also read a complaint about the food but we were there for 5 days and ate almost all of our meals in their restaurant or in the beautiful Palapa by the pool. Personally, I prefer the more mexican dishes and enjoyed them enough to order several of them more than once. I wish I had a copy of their menu...I would recommend a few in particular. We're both in our sixties and although active and healthy enough to still climb the pyramids, we're a little past the "roughin it" that we've done on past vacations. Hotel Villas Arqueologica Teotihuacan was lovely, relaxing, accommodating, convenient and very reasonably priced! ..........Let them arrange for a hot air balloon ride over the pyramids. Absolutely FANTASTIC !!

For a visit to the pyramids, one will not find any better, but once that is done, there is nothing else to do around the area. King size bed offered but one gets a full bed and a small bed, both built into the walls-mattress on a slab. Don't get me room, IT IS beautiful. The kitchen runs out of food quickly, we were told "we ran out of that" the first meal. Expensive menu for what you get.

food was not good, spagetti was tasteless

Hôtel sympa, authentique avec une piscine superbe et une architecture locale réussie. Le chauffage des chambres et du restaurant devrait être repensés - et oui il peut faire froid le soir en février.

une belle surprise pour un hôtel sans réel concurrent. cela reste basique mais l'envirronemment est sympa et sa p^roximité avec le site est très appréciable. Sans soucis !
