Among leafy greens and vibrant flowers the seven casitas at Casa Carly are nestled into a lush property just 7-10 minutes walking from the jardin historic sights and the centro shopping/restaurant areas of San Miguel de Allende. Surreptitiously tucked behind high walls and iron doors visitors emerge into a colorful oasis with stone paths fountains fish pond old towering palms and the bright buildings. Visitors can enjoy an afternoon reading in the shade near a fountain exploring the garden or relaxing inside a casita with its Mexico-inspired decor. Furnished to ensure guests feel comfortable and priced to fit a travel budget these whimsical rooms are the perfect home base for exploration of San Miguel de Allende. In our immediate neighborhood explore the Fabrica Aurora savor goodies from two different bakeries refresh with an ice cream cone lunch at the organic cafe or scour the artisan market for the perfect memento.

Weekend Trip

I was greeted properly at Casa Carly with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and clean, maybe it was lacking some amenities, hair dryer, flat screen TV, bath ammenities, heater and room service, but all of the basics are there. The room is very private and can be yours without the need of being with other guests. Although we weren't a lot of time in the hotel.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Mint and El Grito are good options to meet other people from Mexico, they are the most posh and uptight clubs in the little colonial town, although there are plenty of terraces with a more laid back ambiance.
