Beautiful spot!
We've stayed at other all-inclusives and found this to be excellent both in terms of food and service. The pools were lovely and the ocean view terrific. We were going low budget so didn't get out on many excursions. We did wish there were more water sports accessible within the resort - snorkeling, wind surfers, etc. Unfortunately, the water directly in front of the hotel is very dangerous for swimming but the waves were amazing to watch.

In the reviews we had seen, no one mentioned how good the French restaurant was - the fish was terrific and the wine was better than what's offered by the glass in the rest of the hotel. And eat at the Steakhouse for the beautiful outdoor atmosphere even if the food isn't as good as the others. It's worth it for the views!

Barcelo Los Cabos
This is a relatively new hotel so we were a little nervous about trying an untested location - but the hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are technologically advanced (fantastic A/C system, in-room internet, etc.) and the service was fantastic. I had never been to an all-inclusive place and was a little worried, but the food was outstanding - we only tried an a la carte restaurant once and found the food quality was the same as that at the included restaurants. Only negative - there's a night club directly across the street from the hotel. You couldn't hear it every night, but on our second night, I woke up at 2:45am to loud, pulsing techno music that ended when the club closed at 3:00am. The music didn't bother us besides that night - don't know if the club was closed, the music was less intense or we were able to sleep through it (unlikely since we didn't go to bed until after midnight), but we never heard it again.

Loved it
Beautiful resort. Rooms, grounds, pools, bars, restaurant facilities all look brand new and clean. Overall staff is friendly and helpful, with a few exceptions. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food at all the restaurants. Overall we would highly recommend this resort.

Long pants and close toed shoes are required for some restaurants. This is important! We saw several other parties that were denied entry into the speciality restaurants because they lacked this attire and they were not at all pleased. Also, resort is all inclusive, except there is an additional charge for room service and boxed lunches.

Great Vacation!!!!
Barcelo Los Cabos was great! There were a few issues at check-in-which itself was a little slow, but [...] at the front desk fixed them promptly. The room was fantastic! Newly renovated. Great shower & jetted tub that had a great view of the ocean. Resort was very modern and very clean. Food was pretty good for an all-inclusive. Buffet was hit or miss, but there were so many options that finding something you liked was not a problem. Same for the a la carte restaurants. Staff was very very friendly. The activities guys were awesome! We played beach volleyball everyday. We swam in the ocean a couple days, but you're not supposed to at all because the currents are so strong. First couple times not bad, but the last day we swam it was very very strong. Drinks were probably watered down a little, but if you get a floater on top of your drink then that's not a problem. There were three pools- adult: very nice, a little smaller, but crystal clear blue and very cool; infinity pool: overlooks beach, swim-up bar and chairs in the water. However it was a little murky and it was closed the last day we were there. I think there was something wrong with the filter; and finally main pool- very big, lots of chairs and some palapas for shade. We went into Cabo one day and did a snorkeling trip to Santa Maria Bay on the Pez Gato- it was very fun, the crew was great and the bay was beautiful. Also went into San Jose del Cabo which was a little smaller but very quaint and there were some good restaurants and shops. Watched the Mexico v Argentina at a bar called Shooters with the locals and drank $10 Peso beers. Very fun! Had a great time. We didn't want to leave. Would highly recommend Barcelo. A few minor glitches, but the positives far outweigh any of the negatives!

great place at good price
This was a great place to visit. Very clean and the staff was very nice. The only thing that I didn't like was that only 3 of the 6 restuarants were open. And we cound only get a reservation for 1 of them. The buffet every day was excellent. IF I ever go there again I will stick with the buffet. And great bartenders!!!!!!

Great Friend Escape
It was a great resort, very modern, clean, and beautiful. The food was very good at the restaurants and the buffets. We loved the pools and we were close to the airport. We thought the food service was terrible. They also ran out of light beer, how does that happen!

Excellent Quality Resort
Beach is not swimmable all year long due to dangerous waves. Reserving restaurants was big problem, 1st they told us we cound not book any during our 5 night stay when resort was less than 50% full, after some arguments we got one and for others we just showed up at the restaurats, which we found were not full and requested to the manager to take us in. They are vert strict about dress code for the restaurants, they will send you back to change. Otherwise, new resort in exceptional condition and state of the art architecture, interior design and hi-tech & classy room. Great quality restaurants and bars.

Bombtastic hotel
We had a great time. Phenomenal new hotel. The a la carte restaurants were shockingly phenomenal. I had done all inclusive a couple times, twice in Puerto Vallarta (even stayed at the Barcelo in PV). The Barcelo Los Cabos was quite impressive all around. The buffet had some hit or miss moments, but on the whole, the food was great. The rooms were ridiculous. Everything was immaculate. The drinks were stiff and the staff was incredibly helpful. I would stay here again.

Eat at the a la carte restaurants. You won't be disappointed. I liked the Japanese place the best. The sushi was quite good, comparable to some Chicago establishments.

Great hotel
We spent our honeymoon at the Barcelo. This resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are very well maintained and the staff is pleasant and friendly. The only aspect of our stay that lacked complete satisfaction was the food at the restaurants and buffet. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.

Short walk from hotel
rent a car from Payless (one block away from the resort). We rented a full size vehicle for $50/day and drove everywhere we wanted. The roads are safe and drivers are courteous.

Happy Anniversary While Going Hungry!!!
Booked this hotel cause it was new and liked the idea of the swim up suite. When we arrived we were instantly impressed at the layout of the lobby. We were immedietly pulled up to the Club Premium Lounge for our check in. While waiting to get checked in I was given a drink!!!! After getting our room the bell boy met us in the lobby with our bags and took us to our room. It was incredible. Beautiful tile floors, large flat screen TV and the back door opened directly to the pool. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was tastefully decorated. There was even a plate of fresh fruit on the table and little chocolates on the bed every night. We were told to make reservations for the a la cart restraunts when we checked in, which were only open for dinner reservations. We got the times and dates we wanted except for the Mexican and Steak House, which were unfortunately closed for the week. The service at the restraunts was incredible, and the food was very good. However the dessert menu was the same for each restraunt, so it got old quick. After eating at the International Buffet for the first 2 times we were ready to go find food at other locations. It was dry, tasteless, and there was limited variety. There were very limited opportunities to eat outside of the regular meal times. No food including fruit was allowed out of the buffet. The snack bar at the pool only served fried foods. The "All inclusive" room service included a $5.00 service fee, and all of the employees accepted tips. The pools and grounds were very well kept and we had no problems using them. The servers and bartenders were very friendly and eager to refill your drinks the way you liked them!!!!!

Short drive from hotel
Ate at two restraunts in downtown San Jose Del Cabo. The first was Jasmine's and the second was La Herrenda. Both restraunts were equipped with a/c, reasonably priced, authentic, and very very good!!!!!!
