This was my second time staying at this hotel. I go to Saltillo every few months to visit my girlfriend, who is from there as well. The staff in this hotel is almost always very accomodating, and the maid service very responsive. In terms of
location, I was fairly pleased. 2 restaurant/ bars next door, a shopping center within easy walking distance, and a 7-11 across the street for late-night snacks. For any visitors to Saltillo I warn not to bring Travelers Checks, as almost no locations exchange them. Dollars, on the other hand, are easily exchanged almost anywhere, Including the reception desk in City Express (although their exchange rate is slightly lower). Overall, I find my stay at City Express consistently pleasant.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
The Sanborns restaurant right next door was the best dining I've yet found in Saltillo, although slightly pricey. For easy cheap food delivered to your room, I recommend El Fogon, and their carne asada tacos.
