Great Family place

The hotel was great, the staff was very nice, the only thing I felt was that they had promised an extra bed prior to our trip and for three days I kept asking for it and never got it. It looked like they were not very concerned when I told them at my check out.

Quaint n Quiet (for the most part)

We went for a Father's Day getaway. We soaked in the Jacuzzi, drove 5 min away to Puerto Nuevo for Lobster and relaxed! The room itself could have been a bit less rustic.... Scratched bathtub, chipped paint and a Snickers wrapper in the drawer.... Makes u wonder how truly clean everything is right? I would def suggest that they add NO FIREWORKS to the rules, our jacuzzi time was cut short because of a wild clan of kids setting off fireworks. The great breakfast buffet in the am made me forget all about that though.

Las Rocas Hotel

My friend [...]and I went to Rosarito to have fun! Well I got news 4U Rosarito it's a death town. the Hotel was GREAT ! (they even give Us an upgrade to a mini suite 4 two nights!) But, we went back to TJ to have some fun. And TJ was so empty! If you like a good deal now it's the time, but if you like the crowd don't bother!

Perfect Romantic Getaway

This was our first stay at the hotel and we LOVED everything about the hotel. The service at this hotel was perfect in every way The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room with the ocean views was amazing and very clean! The food and drinks in the hotel were priced very reasonably and were delicious. We had a couples massage over looking the ocean it was the BEST and a fantastic price!! A great romantic and quiet getaway just to relax and have fun! The lounge at night was a blast with live bands and karaoke. We will definetly be regulars at Las Rocas Resort!!

NOT GOOD, "GREAT"

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! PERFECT GETAWAY. WHAT I COULDN'T BELIEVE WAS THE VIEW. I REALLY COULDNT BELIEVE WE WERE REALLY THERE. IT WAS AMAZING. ONE THING THAT I WOULD OF LIKED WAS SOME KIND OF VOUCHER WITH POSSIBLE ATTRACTIONS, NIGHTCLUBS, OR RESTAURANTS. THAT WOULD OF REALLY BEEN HELPFUL. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS GREAT.

A quiet escape

Overall, we were NOT dissapointed. The staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel itself was remarkable albeit a little worn down but nonetheless, the staff kept it clean. Hey, this is Mexico! When we decided on this location, we were looking for a getaway from the traditional drinking scene and the usual crazy americans looking for a good time. Well, we found that this was somewhat on the conservative side and did not experience any craziness. The kids 11, 9, and 2 years old, were able to enjoy the pool and hang around without feeling intimidated. The beer by the way, was very inexpensive, at under $2.50 a bottle, I enjoyed more than my share. The food was ok. I expect that that even though the dishes are traditional, they lack a sort of authenticity which I have come to find at other resort restauraunts. When we arrived, I experienced a minor delay in check in due to my credit card company being oversecure but the hotel staff made no big issue of the situation and checked us in. I appreciated the cleaning staff for always providing us with clean towels and maintaining the bathroom well stocked. If you bring your smaller children, stay in a suite, you will find a refrigerator, and microwave oven which are helpful since this resort is far removed from shopping centers. As always, I recommend bringing a case of drinking water just in case. This was a wonderful stay for us and we are looking at a return trip next summer. Only draw back, don't bring the infants. Leave them at home with grandma if possible.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Drive just 7-10 minutes back north to Rosarito and enjoy the Playas or beaches. These are fun as you can rent a table and chairs along with umbrella for $5.00 dollars all day. Enjoy table side beers and drinks (don't get the margaritas unless you like drinking koolaid) or coconuts, churros, etc.

My review of Las Rocas Resort and Spa

Las Rocas Resort and Spa, Rosarito, Mexico was a very old hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hottub and pool were great. Dinner was fine dining, breakfast fair. The room was a great veiw, the carpet was like indoor/outdoor carpet, a light was out in the bathroom, the couch and chair uncomfortable, the bed comfortable, etc...
