Ghost Town-FALSELY ADVERTISED

The building stands, but the place is a ghost town. I paid top dollar for a top dollar experience. I was immensely deceived. The staff that was there was invaluably helpful, but there was nobody really there. No "refresh" housekeeping. Minimally supplied with kitchen-ware. Only 2 pools and 1 spa operable. Restaurant was closed for half the trip. So No room service. NO INTERNET SIGNAL EXCEPT IN LOBBY. Spas turned off. Fountains turned off. Trash everywhere. Housekeeping came only once--had to hunt down staff to request it. Worth $100/night. NOT $250!!!

Ghost Town

We decided to visit baja as we have had great vacations there in the past. We have typically stayed at Club Marena and Las Gaviotas which we really love. They are great resorts with perfect uncrowded surf, great amenities and comething for everybody. We decided to try Las Olas as thier ads made it sound fantastic. unfortunatly the place was deserted and fell way short of expectations. Many od the amenities were not even finished (tennis courts, etc...) and the surf does not break there as we were told. The condo was small and did not have an oceanfront bedroom. the "beach" is a constructed pad of sand above the water. It just did not live up to the billing. additionally there was no one around to help us with any issues. we will stick to the old favorites next time.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

SPLASH is a great casual dinning experience. SUSANANS is a fantastic fine dining establishment. TAPANCO offers an authentic northern baja rustic dining experience.
