1st trip to Rosarito in Baja California, Mexico. Room was generally fine. No frills, but reasonably clean and affordable. The bathroom was also reasonably clean, but not luxurious, by any means. Rosarito seems to really be hurting for tourist
dollars, so we were not expecting lush accommodations. Neither should you. At seriously discounted rates, you should only expect "reasonably clean" rooms. Which is what you are likely to get. My only real complaint, after adjusting for expectations was that the shower only warmed to luke warm, when I would have really liked a hot shower. Otherwise, it was fine. Not great, just fine.

Haggle for everything. Took a light aircraft ride on the beach and also rode ATVs on the beach. You'll be surprised how low they are willing to go. They are all hurting for tourist dollars, so that puts you at an advantage. Guy wanted $35 for a light aircraft ride. Accepted 2 rides for $50, which is $25 apiece. ATVs: asked for $20/half hour, was willing to take 2 half-hour rides for $35 total.

or would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I was disappointed any traveling agency would recommend a place like this. Too expensive for what I got...
