Great vacation

Just got back yesterday from our vacation at the Secrets Maroma Beach. We had a great time and would recomend this resort to anyone that wants to be pampered. The resort is very nice, the food was fantastic, the staff was always ready and willing to help in any way, also the entertainment was better than any of the other resorts that we have stayed at. The Rock of ages show was first rate! We did have a small problem with ants in the room and mosquitos outside in the evening. But that is to be expected because after all the resort is carved out of the jungle. Just pack a can or two of off in your luggage and you should be good to go. Also [no fault of the resort] we just so happened to be there at the same time as a large group of vacationers [we called them the Beverly Hillbillies] were there. They were extremly obnoxious and loud. But because the resort is so large we were able to stay out of their way most of the time. We were also given a free upgrade to a larger suite free of charge for the last couple of days without even asking for it. A nice touch!!! All in all, it was a great trip and would probably go back if it weren't for the fact that their are so many more different resorts around that we would like to try.

OK

Paid extra for an ocean and view and recieved a "parital" ocean view. No hot water in the room no, they made several attempts to fix it but with not much luck. Unable to use thier nice big hot tub because of it. Odd thing is that they never apologized for it. Overall resort is very nice.

Arguably the best beach in Mexico!

This was our second trip to Secrets Maroma Beach and again we thoroughly enjoyed it! The facility, the food, and particularly the staff are well worth the trip. I highly recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club if you can afford it . . . better rooms and an extremely enjoyable private lounge.

Awesome Vacation!

Just returned from 5 nights at the nicest beach resort ever! The trip from airport to resort is less than 30 minutes - obviously longer than the Cancun Hotel Zone, but well worth it. The staff was amazing from start to finish. The Entertainment Team was a blast. The restaurant staff was outstanding and the food was out of this world. We ate at the French restaurant twice - Jesus was an amazing waiter. The World Cafe breakfast was fantastic - Freddy our waiter was probably our favorite staff on the trip. Even the pool side Barefoot grill had the best grilled chicken I've ever had - we ate there almost every day. The pool is probably were we spent the majority of our time and for good reason - it was amazing. There are multiple pools and we always had our space and never felt crowded. There is not much I would change about our vacation and will recommend this resort to anyone looking to go to Mexico!

Almost like being in Heaven

I think the title pretty well sums up my experience at Secrets Maroma Beach. The beach is just like you see on TV commercials, sparkling blue water and fine white sand. The rooms are all suites with 2 levels and in room jacuzzi's and all the ammenities of home. Restaurants always have something you will like and room service is available 24 hours a day. Top shelf liquor when you request it including Grey Goose and Crown Royal. The thing that sets the resort apart is the staff. Never saw one with out a smile and always willing to help. I would not hesitate to return and will recommend the expereince to all my friends.

Secrets Maroma...just ok

Let me preface by saying this is my 8th trip to Mexico and all resorts except 1 have been all inclusive. This resort is nice but it did not live up to the hype for me. There were wonderful reviews about it but it just did not exceed my expectations for the price. The food was average and the service was average at best; with the exception of the Japanese and French venues...the food and service at both were great. The beach is nice, but it is covered with seaweed--which they cannot help. It is a relaxing place to go. I saw no rowdy crowds while there and it is quiet after the sun goes down.

Great anniversary trip

Immaculate property. The staff was great. Service was excellent. Only minor drawback was that some of the food was sub-par. Other than that, everything was fantastic
