Fantabulous!!!

We had an awesome time relaxing around the pools, enjoying the activities, and the views inside and out of the resort. The food was a little disappointing and could be improved. For the cost we were very satisfied and had a fabulous time. Totally recommend-2 thumbs up!

I love it!

I liked it very much to the point that i went back again and I took 6 other people with me. We all had a great time!! The only problem I had is that they stop serving drinks at a certain time and they shouldn't do that! people are there to enjoy themselves and have a good time.

The Truth about Ocean Coral And Turquesa

Ocean Coral and Turquesa seemed only built for atmosphere. I bought the privilege package and like many reviewers I felt extremely underprivileged. I know this is not a five star hotel but why should a customer wait 20 minutes by the privilege desk to be seen by a hotel representative? Keep in mind there was no one waiting in front of us and we got to the htel at 3:00pm, our scheduled check in time and at the exclusive privilege check-in section at the hotel lobby. Every dinner, the waiters seemed overworked, VERY UNFRIENDLY, and the wait for your food and drinks was unbearable. It was a huge buzz kill between drinks. This place would be great if and only if they changed over their entire staff and train the new ones properly. My last night at their Italian Restaurant, we arrived 25 minutes early to our reservation time of 9pm. The door person gave us an attitude and rolled his eyes speaking back to us cuz we questioned him why are they unable to seat us 25 minutes early on a monday night, and many tables were open and no one was waiting to be seated. I guess here at this resort, the customer is not always right. We could not believe we were spoken back to at this resort. I love the atmosphere of the entire hotel but, the service and unfriendliness of the staff killed it for me. The architecture is beautiful, the beach has too much seaweed and becareful of the jelly fish in the water, my fiancee got stung twice. The lifeguards on hand were extremely attentive and helped us out with a first aid kit. The ocean water is warm and refreshing but not as clear blue as Jamaican Negril Beach type water. The best part of my trip was running along the white sandy beach every morning, and jumping in the pool after my 30 minute run. My room was great, with a Jacuzzi and shower on the balcony and we had a third floor room with an ocean view so you were able to shower privately on your balcony. I hope everyone who reads this understands that I really think the place is beautiful, but if you offered me a free 4 nights and 5 days stay here at this hotel, I would look elsewhere and pay the 5 star hotel prices. I'm a black male and my fiancee is white, for all the minority couple or interracial couples they seem to look down upon you, even when you are part of the privilege package. If you like to keep yourself entertained and don't expect much pool or beachside service by the wait staff for an all inclusive resort then this resort is for you. I don't think you should have to wait more than 30 minutes between drinks at an exclusive area set aside for the privilege members on a beach or poolside.

Make resevation for each restaurant you plan on going to at check-in. Expect to wait a while to be seen by your waiter or waitress. If you are not of caucasian decent or light skin spanish be prepared to be treated differently.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa

Overall a great experience. Relaxing, friendly service, great pools, nice beach. The rooms were a little damp and not much swimming was going on at the beach, I'm assuming b/c the numerous seaweeds made the experience a little unpleasant.

Beach was not good!!

I was really excited for the trip and travel to Mexico once a year. I am very sad to say that the beaches were awful. The water was full of seaweed and was not the bright beautiful water i am used to in Mexico. The location was very far from andythign and the entertainment at the resort left something to be desired. Even if you are looking fo rlow key and very relaxing the entertainment I have become used to at other resorts did not exist here. The staff had a handful of great people but fo rthe most part were very unfriendly and made you feel like an intruder. Whenever we tried to take a nap after a long day in the sun we were woken by someone constantly knocking on the door. All in all it was not what I was hoping for and was very sad with the beach situation.

Ocean Coral & Tuquesa - Simply Heaven...

This is a beautiful hotel. The location is fabulous only about 20 minutes from the airport in Cancun. We upgraded to the Privilege Package (Rooms & Service) and really enjoyed all the extra perks, especially chilled water at each Privilege palapa on the beach. The staff was very friendly and always aiming to help with any small detail. My only wish was that there would be more nighttime entertainment available. What they had was good, it just seemed to end just as it started to get fun! Compared to other All-Inclusives I have been to, I would rate this one the best, simply because of the Privilege perks. Without the perks, it would have been comparable to the other AI's we've been to in Cozumel and Playa del Carmen. Definitely upgrade to Privilege if you can fit it in your budget.

Super Trendy Family resort-great price!!

We rented 2 Royal Master Suites Ocean Front for 2 adults and or kids (19 & 10). Check in was with privilage desk and went smooth. Rooms were very clean and extreamly spacious but at the Turquesa end of the resort which made it difficult to access the "privilage" services which were at the Coral end. Privilage services seemed to include top shelf liquor (which was nice)Pillow menu (which only allowed 1 feather pillow per room and the pillows were really bad), ability to make reservations for specialty resturants (Great and needed!),privilage lounge for breakfasts and internet access (really nice area), and privilage beach area(nicer loungers as well as beach beds (AHH...the best part!) We were repeatedly told we could move "Tomorrow". 4 days after we were moved to the coral end but rooms were not nearly as nice (older and quite musty). We had brought coffee so we put it around the room to help with the smell (bring sented candles). Location was now great and accessible to everything. Resturants were pretty good. We had never been all inclusive because we figured the food would not be good, but we were plesantly surprised. Our best meal was at the Italian, but on out second try not as good. The Creperie was fantastic! Mochas and chocolate cake at Coffee Shop, and late night burgers and fish at the sports bar (skip the mexican). We did not try the seafood and steak resturant. The much loved Japanese was our least favorite. Bad sushi and everything else way to salty. Buffet was best for breakfast, ok otherwise but with a wide selection. Had the most fun at the Pool Bar with great drinks, service and music. Wonderful shows almost every night.Activities going on all the time.Fiestas, kareoke, circus, live music (classical & salsa)and more! My son even got to release a baby turtle on the beach! Best of all was our concierge [...]...she was the best! For a picky traveler like myself she tried her best to make everything just so (and that can be a challenge working with me!). Also [...] was fab!He made sure all of our amemnities were in order and came personally for turn down service each night. Beach is beautiful but there is a lot of seaweed and the water is not the Tulum blue we are used to, but so many other wonderful things make up for it. All in all a wonderful time. Great for younger families as the decor is very on trend (much like the W style)and seems to be more eco-friendly than most(room products as well as recycling program and reef protection program)which is important to us. The resort was not stuffy as some upscale resorts can be. Had a great time and would definately return!

Good experience

Overall we had a good time. We upgraded to the Priveledge package which was definitely worth it. We were able to make reservations for dinner and have breakfast privately. The food was not that great and we found that people without the priveledge package had to eat at the buffet often. If they had all of their staff available it would have been even better.

Not all its cracked up to be

My husband and I thought we would splurge and we purchased the "privilaged" package. It was definately not worth it! We didn't receive anything extrodinary that was not already offered to all the other guests. Our first day there we were invited to a breakfast which they described as a "special welcome" breakfast for their privileaged guests. It sounded like a timeshare presentation and we told them in advance that we were not interested in going if it had anything to do with timeshares, they assured us it was not a timeshare presentation. They lied! After we explained that we were not intersted the sales representative got very irritated and was very rude and basically kicked us out of his office. The beach was not very impressive. The water was full of jelly fish and no signs were up. Lets just say my husband felt the BURN! It was not very pleasant. Throughout our week there, day in and day out we witnessed guests complaining from being stung by jelly fish. I thought it was very irresponsible on the hostel's behalf that nobody cared enough to put up signs stating beware of jellyfish. Children, adults and eldery people were contantly being stung. The room in general was clean but had a very strange smell. The smell would smack us in the face everytime we walked into the room. I requested a dehumidifier and it took them 2 days to bring it. The jacuzzi never worked, the technician came countless time to fix it but was unable to. The response in the front desk was basically "too bad". As we were in the pool I noticed a lot of people had the same problem you can see the jaqcuzzies leaking and the water dripping from the balconies. My mini bar was empty from the 1st day we were there to about our 3rd day. I would like to revisit cancun but I am never staying in this resort again! If I could describe my experience in this resort in one word it would be "dispointing" My husband would say "lacking". I would never recomend this hotel to anyone!
