Occidental Grand Xcaret - All Inclusive

the grounds at the hotel were very nice. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The food was to die for and lots of it. It wood be nice if they had elevators at each of the buildings,but like my wife says it helpd to keep the weight off.

Unbeleivable resort. Stayed at many nice all inclusive resorts. This one takes the cake. The entire staff was fantastic. The room was always perfect. We were treated like royalty/VIP's the entire time and beleive me we are not either of those nor famous or rich. Highly recommend this resort.

This was my third stay at this hotel and I have to say that the setting is beautiful ie. the property. I was a little let down with the quality of the buffet food and selection over the last two stays, but overall it still as good or better then most. The nightly entertaiment is exceptional. The pools fantastic. The staff was exceedingly friendly and accomidating. In Short for a relexing getaway at a reasonable cost you cant go wrong with the Occidental Grand in Xcarat.

It is a great resort, with lot's to do and a very friendly staff! The only complaint I have, no room service! Over all great Resort!

Generally a nice place & of pretty good value, with good food & a comfortable room. However, there was no internet in the room as listed, nor did the Grayline transport allow any free calls to the USA as listed. Trying to use their long distance (phone card) phones was a pain & their internet cost $5.00 US for 30 minutes. The beach was very small & you had to be there before 8am to get a chair. Overall, I think that the beautiful beaches in Cancun would be a better option. Security was tight at the hotels & because they were each "all inclusive", you had to pay quite alot, if you wanted to go to any other hotel to visit....hence being stuck at your hotel...& having to take a Taxi wherever you wanted to go. I wouldn't go back again....that's for sure.

The hotel located in a great spot. Ideal for families with kids. While we were there at Christmas the total theme catered to the children. Understandable....it was Christmas!

We had a fantastic time! This is the perfect resort for family with small children. Our children loved the resort! It is conveniently located, it is a ten minute walk to Xcarete.....a must see (awsome place)! Explore is next door (another exciting place to visit)! Make sure you visit 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen, it is a 15 minute cab drive. The staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to accomodate you with any type of service you need. We were overall very pleased, and we are already planning to got back next year!

Friendly staff service, except when we arived we had to wait 4 hours for our hotel tobe ready. We also had water leaking from our ceiling for a few days. We didn't make too big of a fuss considering we spent very little time in our room, except to sleep and shower.

It was the perfect place to get away to a enjoy a romantic honeymoon. We loved the place it is beautiful, wonderful place to spend a couple or family vacation. I would recommend it to all family and friends we had an amazing time. The best vacation with my now husband.
