Now Jade Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa All Inclusive

Stayed with significant other for 1 week at Now Jade Riviera Cancun. Paid for extra activities including (1)XPLOR which was awesome...just get there early so you have time to complete everything.(2) The Jungle Spa Mayan massage...the resort doesn't want you to know about this place because they have their own spa. If you are soft, ask for the gentle massage. (3) Snorkeling...not as impressed as other places I've been to. Lasts about 1 hour Other activities we enjoyed through the resort which were free are bike tour to the town of Puerto Morelos which was nice. The items/souveniers at the shops can be easily found in my home city of Atlanta. We enjoyed all the nightly shows at the resort. We enjoyed the pool although you had to be hot and brave to jump in. The drinks are below average but plentiful. Only 2 types of beer(Coors and Dos XX)Make sure you ask for alcohol by name brand or you'll get the cheap stuff. The food was ok, service very slow but to be expected. I could always find something in the buffet restaurant (Carnival). Most of the staff was very cordial. The guys towards the front of the hotel have attitudes and can scam if you're not careful. IE: concierge The showers flucuate rapidly between very hot and very cold during peak shower time. Please be careful of rocks/coral before entering the ocean. I almost broke an ankle. The pool staff was very nice. Rooms are very nicely designed. I recommend partial or complete ocean view. Overall, this resort is average for us as a couple. If you have kids, this place should be ideal. We noticed a full slate of activities for the kids even separated from the parents so you can enjoy.

Wonderful food, would go again... a few servers needed to be fired but that didn't take away from the trip as a whole. Went with two other couples and although the resort was overbooked you wouldn't know it. Some kids in the Adult only pool took away from the quiet feature but that wasn't the fault of the resort. Large rooms. All in all wonderful - and couldn't beat the price for traveling over new year's. Plus only about 20 mins from the airport

The views of the water/beach are gorgeous. The buffet has good variety. There are several restaurants to choose from but we were limited by our 2 kids. Very family friendly. The living space was small but bathroom space was big. Pools were cold, not heated. We enjoyed a few of the night entertainments which were good for those with kids.

Dinners were exceptionally good for an all inclusive. The breakfast and lunch buffets did not have enough variety, same thing every day. Service was spotty thoughout our entire stay. Rooms are a nice layout. Hallways are extremely noisy. Adult pool was great!

Our last trip to Mexico was to Acapulco and I had thought that the vacation had turned out rather nice but our trip to the Now Jade in the Riviera Maya blew that right out of the water!! The resort is all inclusive with excellent food and many restaurants for fine dining. If you have picky eaters,as myself, with your group have them stick with the buffets or the asian i thought was excellent. The ocean and the beaches are beautiful and very clean. They come through and clean the beaches and water throughout the day everyday. Which leads to my next point, the cleanliness of this resort is immaculate!! There is a mini flee market that comes to the resort twice a week and there is entertainment every night, be sure to check out the sports bar for some great music, shows, and dancing! My only suggestion would be to make sure you bring enough money and small bills for tipping because you cant get change from hardly anywhere around the resort, and if you do, its generally too large for tipping. But all in all... Great staff, great view, great times! We've already began to book our next trip there!!

It was great being near puerto Morelos! Just a couple minutes by taxi or we also took a bike tour from our hotel. The people in the town were very friendly and we felt completely safe the entire time! Two of us girls took the bus(only 6 pesos) back to the hotel and felt very safe. The food in the restaurants at night was incredible!! We loved everything we ordered and there was great ambiance with musical entertainment and amazing waitstaff. The best place to get food in the mid- day was the restaurant just off the pool (called castaways at night). The buffet was great for breakfast - loved the omelets! We went into town to go snorkeling and sport fishing - everything is cheaper if you buy it from the guys in town! The only bad thing about our entire trip was the fact that there was not enough hot water for showering when everyone was getting ready for dinner. We loved our experience, and if you want great dinner food, this is the place!

Had a lot of issues with hotel last new years and was told I would get a special rate this new years, now when I call I am constantly getting the run around and they seem to have "lost" the information from last year that documented the deal I was suppossed to get this year. :(

the hotel was awesome, from the rooms to gulf of mexico. No complaints. The tour we took of the mayans was awesome. Now for the bad, apple gives this a 6, not even close. The food was okay when you recieved what you ordered, the service was horrible and sometimes out n out rude. We travel alot and will never return.

Both properties beautiful, Jade modern & elegant. Jade service could have been much better. Many staff & guests pretentious & snooty. Sapphire more authentic Mexico look & feel accompanied by outstanding service. Staff made every effort to please all guests, seemed to enjoy their jobs more than Jade employees. Absolutely recommend Sapphire, beautiful w/outstanding service. No recommendation for beautiful Jade because of sub-par service.
