Excellence Riviera Cancun Luxury Adults Only - All Inclusive

This was our 2nd stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun- It was just fabulous! We thought it couldn't get any better from last year and it did. They added lunch on the beach daily as well as some new entertainment....The only teeny tiny thing for us would be the beds, for as great as everything is we thought the beds were not comfortable at all. However, with a few blankets we were good to go! the food, staff, entertainment, beach, pool area were all top notch! Looking forward to year #3!

My husband and I celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary at Excellence Riviera Cancun. This is a perfect romantic adult only resort. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment. The food was good...what I expected from an all inclusive resort. Staff was exceptional and everyone had a smile on their face. Location of the hotel is close to the airport which is a positive. Most definitely will go back.

something to do every evening,live music and shows,very attentive staff,not too far from cancun or playa del carman for shopping,room s cleaned twice a day,would go back,liked this resort a lot more than el dorado royale,better food ,better service,

The excellence staff was incredible. Prior to arriving I worked with concierge through email and they helped us with our airport to hotel transportation. Along with arranging for a birthday cake and room decorations for my friends 45th. Checkin was speedy and no discussion of timeshare presentations, which was wonderful. They give you a pager to let you know when your room is ready. My friends and I loved the martini bar, XO lounge at night and the waiter service at our swim up room pool. I agree with many reviewers that this is a very nice hotel. In fact, it was the best one we visited so far. The food in French and Lobster House was excellent. The Indian restaurant is really good, thanks to the chef who knows a lot about spices. Night entertainment is better than in other hotels we visited. The beach is nice although the water is cloudy sometimes due to very fine sand, but still good for snorkeling at the old pier where we found a variety of ocean life. Snorkeling trip to Puerto Morelos reef was very good. We used kayaks and hobie-cat, and made a bike trip to Puerto Morelos, but most of the time we spent swimming in the ocean, the water was really warm! We would definitely come back and recommend the hotel to our friends with some exceptions (see below). - - - Notes to the hotel management: There is a beach shower with clogged drain and standing water about 1 inch deep, so everyone must step into the water on the floor and it was not fixed during our 7 days stay; We visited many hotels and noticed that beach is clean and raked by 9 am when guests come to the beach, however, at Excellence the cleaning happens during a day by noisy raking tractor that spreads fumes into guests faces. Not enjoyable at all! For this reason we wouldn't return to this hotel but I hope this problem will be taken care of.

This is the third year my husband and I have been back to this hotel and nothing ceases to amaze me. The staff pretty much rules.....they pamper every individual as if they are the rock star of the day, they are friendly and never let you lack for anything. The resort itself is breathtaking, very clean and overall very quiet. Thet also have plenty to do if you want, but if loungin' in the pool is your thing, there's plenty of pools. The spa is amazing. One of the best massages i've had...finished off with a glass of champange and choclate covered strawberries, Rooms are awesome, if you go, must do excellence club. The extra imenities are worth it! If you decide to get married there (which my husband and I did) nothing but the best! Thanks Excellence once again for an awesome time!

Everything was great! food was delicious, resort was beautiful and staff were friendly. Enjoyed our honeymoon and are planning to come back for our one year anniversary. One issue though, we did order a honeymoon package that includes rose petals scattered on the bed on the first nights stay as well as first dinner, along with champagne, a complimentary fruit basket, wi-fi in the room and lobby, king size bed, and a honeymoon banner over the door. We were disappointed when we didn't get that package because we went through the trouble trying to get our marriage certificate and after 2 stops at the concierge they still couldn't do anything. Other than that we had a blast , enjoyed the sunshine and the delicious food :)

The spa is marveolous. This was our 2nd stay there. The Excellence Club was Excellent. The dinner on the beach, romantic and delicious.

Great service. The staff is friendly and courteous. The food is good and there is a good variety of options. The rooms are awesome and clean. This hotel is overall super clean. Whether you want to be entertained all day or you would rather stay away from the action, you will find what you want there.
