Excellence Riviera Cancun
This is the third year my husband and I have been back to this hotel and nothing ceases to amaze me. The staff pretty much rules.....they pamper every individual as if they are the rock star of the day, they are friendly and never let you lack for anything. The resort itself is breathtaking, very clean and overall very quiet. Thet also have plenty to do if you want, but if loungin' in the pool is your thing, there's plenty of pools. The spa is amazing. One of the best massages i've had...finished off with a glass of champange and choclate covered strawberries, Rooms are awesome, if you go, must do excellence club. The extra imenities are worth it! If you decide to get married there (which my husband and I did) nothing but the best! Thanks Excellence once again for an awesome time!

Fantastic Romantic Getaway
My husband and I celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary at Excellence Riviera Cancun. This is a perfect romantic adult only resort. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment. The food was good...what I expected from an all inclusive resort. Staff was exceptional and everyone had a smile on their face. Location of the hotel is close to the airport which is a positive. Most definitely will go back.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
If you want to experience local shopping take advantage of the Puerto Morelos bike tour offered by the hotel. It is approximately 2 miles away. They give you 20 minutes of free time to shop for mexican artifacts. You will save considerably. You can also walk the shoreline to reach the local town.

Great Memories- Happy 45th Birthday
The excellence staff was incredible. Prior to arriving I worked with concierge through email and they helped us with our airport to hotel transportation. Along with arranging for a birthday cake and room decorations for my friends 45th. Checkin was speedy and no discussion of timeshare presentations, which was wonderful. They give you a pager to let you know when your room is ready. My friends and I loved the martini bar, XO lounge at night and the waiter service at our swim up room pool. Didn't want to come home!
This was our 2nd stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun- It was just fabulous! We thought it couldn't get any better from last year and it did. They added lunch on the beach daily as well as some new entertainment....The only teeny tiny thing for us would be the beds, for as great as everything is we thought the beds were not comfortable at all. However, with a few blankets we were good to go! the food, staff, entertainment, beach, pool area were all top notch! Looking forward to year #3!

relaxing long weekend
Very positive all-inclusive experience. Excellent variety of foods and drinks at the resort. They do a good job of providing entertainment and things to do throughout the day and night. A 15-20 minute cab ride from either Playa del Carmen or Cancun will cost you about $30-40 U.S. each way, so if you plan on visiting these cities be prepared.

Excellent Stay at Excellence
We had a wonderful experience at the Excellence. We were referred to it by friends who were very pleased with their stay as well. The spacious resort is beautiful with room to relax on the lazy river or socialize at the swim-up bar depending on your mood. Staff was wonderful as were all of the restaurants and bars. The only problem we had was they gave us a 2 queen room when we reserved a king.

Excellent job all around.

Perfect Adult Vacation
Everything about this hotel was great. The only possible exception was that there could have been more chef specials at the restaurants as we got a little bored with the food. Have nothing really to complain about. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The beach was the best in that area and wonderfully maintained. The spa was FANTASTIC!!

In Hotel
I would use the hotel for any excursions by bus as we booked a trip to Tulum with Santos (on the beach) and, while we saved a little, there were hidden charges and too much hassle. Save yourself a headache!
