Cabanas Tulum

Hotel's reservation agent is only available via email and isn't prompt in responding to emails so I missed out on a beachfront cabana and had to stay in the second row of rooms off the beach. These "second row" rooms are very basic and no frills. Location of hotel is good so good restaurant, yoga, shop options within walking distance, but I would only recommend staying here if you have a beach front cabana. If you don't stay beach front, they don't allow you to use the hotel's pool and you're treated as second class. The front desk agent most days was a young Mexican girl whose English was not good and it was a struggle to get answers to questions with her and she was often confused with basic inquiries. I found concierge in the beachfront guest area who spoke wonderful English and was an amazing help, but I found her only by chance. Hotel otherwise offered no activity recommendations and did not even have a decent area map to give to guests which was disappointing since this was my first visit to Tulum. Being more customer service oriented and hiring people who speak both Spanish and English fluently would be a marked improvement.

Endroit où il y fait bon vivre. La plage est magnifique et on a adoré les gros matelas sous les cocotiers. Chambres calmes et agréables. On est ravi de notre séjour.
