just what I expected
The food at some of the restaurants need great improvement and so does the hotels method of booking reservations.

The hotel shopping was really great. They had better prices than Playa del Carmen. We took advantage of their shuttle service to Playa del Carmen.

BlueBay Grand Esmeralda was wonderful !
Resort was spotless. Our Suite had 2 large LCD TV's, 2 Bathrooms,and a hot tub on the Balcony. We found the employees to always be friendly and helpful. We had some of the best food wh have ever had on any vacation. For the price we paid, this Hotel was a great pick.

Amazing week getaway!
We loved our hotel. The beach was gorgeous! WE were out in the ocean everyday and there were plenty of places to choose from by the pool or ocean. Great food selection, never had any problem getting a dinner reservation. The staff were AMAZING! So friendly and helpful! It was a week of frozen drinks, food, and beach and it was the perfect relaxing getaway my boyfriend and I needed!! Mexican and Steakhouse were our favorite restaurants with Oriential being our least favorite, but like I said, we were always happy. We had made to order omelets every morning for breakfast and it was perfect! Our room was very clean and always restocked. We were in building 3 which is down by the beach but it is only a 5 minute walk mAXIMUM up to the restaruants, sports bars, and lobby if you are relatively healthy and mobile. There were always carts running people back and forth too so if walking is difficult for you, I dont see why transportation around the complex would be a problem. WONDERFUL STAY!

beach was not to good compared to Cancun proper. Food was good enough with excellent service, friendly staffs.

AMAZING!!!
The Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda was an absolutley beautiful resort. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was wonderful and the drinks just kept on coming. All inclusive is definately the way to go. Definatley take the trip to Playa de Carmen and see the CoCo Bongo show (the hotel package is a better deal then paying at the door). The night life in Playa de Carmen is also amazing and just a taxi ride away. I also heard the different sight seeing locations are beautiful but we did not have time to see them all. Again, Playa de Carmen a must see!!!! I would definately recommend Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda to anyone who is looking for a wonderful time in the Riviera Maya!

Service and people that work there are great. For those people that come from Europe, thats another story. Food and drink were plentiful. Weather was great even thought they predicted rain every day, which it did not. Excursions and trip into town was a great experience. Price from [...], unbelievable. Thank U

Perfect Family Vacation
This was a great hotel to take the family. The staff were second to none. The food was great. The rooms were very clean. The Hotel was really comfortable with great free entertainment. If you are looking for snorkeling adventures, you won't find it at the shoreline at this hotel or at 98% of other hotels in the Maya Riviera. You really need to go on tours for that. No joke. Overall, would recommend Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda Hotel to families. If you are a party person, go to Cancun, that's where all the action is.
