Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda - All Inclusive

The BBGE was amazing. My wife and I went for our 5th year wedding anniv. and we could not have had a better experience. We stayed in a swim-up suite, and the room was spacious (two bathrooms, flat screen TVs, and king size bed). Our private pool outside the suite was 4 feet deep and a great way to relax. The food was amazing, except for the oriental restaurant which wasn't great. The staff did not stop working and were very helpful. The only downside to this resort is for anyone who goes on vacation purely for the ocean itself. I like to walk by the ocean occasionally but would rather be by the pool and the bar. The ocean at BBGE is only a small area and it is filled with seaweed. This probably was because of the location of the hotel and not because of the quality of the hotel. I didn't really care about this, but if you are a fan of going into the ocean everyday, that would be the only reason not to try the BBGE. We went snorkeling through "Aquatic Expeditions by Emilio". If you want to see Mexico outside of the resort, I would recommend this excursion. We ate at a local restaurant, and Emilio was the most insightful tour guide we have ever had. I would highly recommend this excursion and resort and look forward to returning in the future.

The staff made us feel right at home every chance that they could. Clean rooms, good food and great times/activities. I maybe an alcholic, but the drinks could have been a little stronger!

Nov 6-15th we took 26 guests to BBGE. Overall the trip was fabulous. The hotel was beautiful, the staff (other than the front desk) was great. The pools were clean, the beach was combed daily. The food in the buffets was always fresh & plenty of it. The Steak House & Italian were our favorites. Daily & evening entertainment was fun. The best part of BBGE was the wait staff & bartenders. We were a large party group & tipped them well every time. They sing, dance & kept the party going all day long. Also us newlyweds used the Spa & Salon. Gina did my hair & makeup for the wedding & it was stunning. Just what I wanted. We also got massages the day after the wedding; they are very relaxing & enjoyable. Highly recommend using the spa on cloudy or cool days. The rooms were comfortable, you don't spend much time in them, but they were clean, modern & each offers a safe to lock your valuables in which was very comforting. All in all this was certainly a trip of a lifetime. We will be planning our return trip soon. Thank you Blue Bay Grand for the great memories made. Happy Newlyweds =)

It was a very nice place and we stayed in building 5 which was close to the main pool area and the beach. The food at the Festive was the best. We didnt go into the beach because it didnt look all too clean and my husband was not too happy with the beach but the pool and the food was great. There was no issue in changing the room at first because I didnt like the first room they gave so i called in and said I am not too happy with the room and they said they will arrange another one and call us. Once the room was changed we just moved and i had NO issue with mosquito's and bugs inside the room and we just sprayed some spray when we went out and i came back with one bite only to canada ;) We included lots of activities with our trip so we had both outside and inside experience that we enjoyed the trip so much. If I could do it all over again I would choose the Mayan Palace to stay cause we went for a tour and saw the facilities, had the food and just fell in love with it however for the money we were able to spend for now ... we both agreed it couldnt be any better.

We arrived at PDC the day before Rina made landfall. Staff was very accommodating and made everyone feel safe. Would like to go back here again on a much nicer weather. In my opinion, this hotel is a great deal for the price.

We had a good time at this resort. Only complaint was that the food was just ok. Not bad, but not great either.

definitely a great resort, shame about the location of the sea close to a river that leads to the shore of the algae and the sea does not exactly Caribbean .... but otherwise all good, the staff always smiling and helpful, the rooms excellent, contact with nature and the extreme ...... advice for families at all!

If you are going to eat, drink and have fun this is the place!!! and everything is included.

This was our first time in Mexico. The staff gave us a warm welcoming along with cold drinks when we arrived. All the staff spoke English. The food was delicious. The beach area was clean and beautiful. The swim up suite was pretty cool. It was kinda like your own private pool. My only complaint is that there is not a lot of entertainment at night however there was one bar open 24 hours. Friendly staff, great food (and they did not make u wear a bracelet unlike other all inclusive resorts) and beautiful views. Overall it was a great vacation and will definitely come back there.
